Well done champ, stepped up today to the potential we all know you have, I can honestly say on his day BURTON is the best 5/8 in the game hands down, there is no comparison. We are very lucky to have you champ keep it up and maybe a future immortal.

Dunno bout future immortal but must say had a cracker of a game just that time laps at the 6o min mark we seem to fade outta the game and we look like bulldogs of Barret we need to focus more on going on with it rather than letting teams back in it

At no time ever did Barrett have his team 2 from 3 to start the season.

The lapse of concentration was poor, but unlike Barrett's teams, this one had worked hard and built a buffer (a well deserved one - it should have been more).

It overcame the conditions, some dodgy calls, and a resurgent opposition and still, somehow, managed to win.

That is a HUGE difference from anything Barrett could even dream of, let alone actually deliver.

Well of course he’s going to start playing well when he doesn’t have to be the 5th tackle kicker all the time, the goal kicker, the organiser, the ball player, the captain and the ball runner all at once. Good to see the last tackle kicking was shared and he didn’t have to kick goals, helps him to start playing his natural game and it showed today. He’ll be an even better player if he had a decent 7 next to him.

Flanno was useless in attack. We would convert a lot of those half chances into points if we had a decent HB.

we have a good hooker giving him the right service to let him play his game,, reed is surprisingly good in the blue and white he wants to fight everyone and gets the boys going and takes alot of pressure off our halves

Burton has definitely been the 'centre' of attention in recent weeks so it was pleasing to see him step up in his natural position and bring his running game to the forefront, nice to see him threaten the opposition by making more runs albeit carrying a minor groin strain ... onwards and upwards.

He has a running game fo sho, it’s his ball playing that has the question mark.
That is why everyone is calling for him to go to centres so he can just focus on it and not worry about organising and Russia.
