Pretty hilarious how bad our game management was after the 50th minute. Halves went MIA when we needed them to turn the tide on possesion and field position

Burton’s long kicks and then tough defence plus Mahony’s game managing short kicks into the corner, ran the clock down, superb all round.

It was a purple wave in that second half so to still win by 14 is pretty exciting. Lot to work in but some very good signs.

He is still young, needs to learn how to make good decisions under fatigue. The last two kicks were good signs, needs to go away and figure out what he did to get those right.

His defence is also a huge concern, people are worried about others defence but Burton has some absolute shockers and was heavily reliant on Alamoti and Kikau bailing him out.

Anyway a win, plenty of positives but just as many things we can work on.

Dogs actually won the penalty count 8-6 but the ref piggybacked Melbourne by caning the Dogs with the ruck infringements.
