Putting this out there, Des top 4 finish two seasons ago, would have finished top 8 if their board didn’t sabotage the season with the divide jersey.

As long as he coaches and doesn’t worry about salary cap or junior pathways he would get us back to finals in a couple of seasons easily.

On top of that there won’t be any coombaya connection BS there will be results and the team will become closer through winning together. He’d have us going about our business behind closed doors and he’d call out the refs.

Does Bennett understand the DNA of every club he coaches or coombaya with the players??

No he goes in there and gets results, how hard is it to get a proven FG coach?

Bennett doesn’t focus on the salary cap either, Des copped all the shit for an incompetent front office. The man is a proven winner. To sum it up I’d take back Des in a heartbeat provided Gould runs all the other stuff behind the scenes.

Our players are just so used to losing the mental battle.. when things go bad it's much harder to give 110% like you get from the top teams. Unfortunately for Ciraldo it's just going to take a lot of time to coach that out of them.

Des has his pride, this is a pointless hypothetical but I doubt he would come back to this shambles after getting kicked out.
Barrett would come back cause he's shit and totally deluded. As was everyone else until he actually showed his capabilities.

But Des would just say check ya's

Bellamy would be the only coach to brow beat these guys into playing to their best ability week in, week out to make them accountable for their performances.

Mind you he would probably struggle and burst a blood vessel in the process but by God they'd be frightened to offer up anything less than 80% bare minimum.

People have short term memories. Des destroyed our cap with back ended deals and neglected our juniors. I know we made the finals but he put us in this situation since he left.
A coach should never be in control of the salary cap.

Bellamy had no idea Storm were cheating the cap when the news was broken.

It's easy to be jaded after years of failure, but Des is the one who started the rot. He's never gonna be the answer.

But it's only two trials and one game - not worth a heart attack just yet.

I can’t get my head around this narrative, so the one coach who got us to finals the most consistently since Steve Folkes is the issue.

Well how come Manly haven’t completely imploded since he left the same salary cap dramas there?? They never got the spoon and have made finals close to every second year even with some turmoil.

So therefore Manly’s front office even with the stupid pride bs included has been run better than us for over a decade. They’ve retained their most talented juniors regardless of who was coaching.
