To Protect and to Serve .Holy fuck you killed him.
To Protect and to Serve .Holy fuck you killed him.
BBO should have been given a chance towards the back end of this yearYes we did successfully play without a superstar halfback, did we win a premiership without one...no.
It is important we make a rational decision and it looks like we are heading in that direction now we have young halfbacks like BBO, Rajab, Bailey, White and so young Ralph, who knows one or two might rise to stardom, this is why I have a feeling that we won't be outlaying a million dollars or over for a halfback, then again I could wrong
I agree with the majority of your post with a correction - "Steve Mortimer , the best halfback of his era."Our GF winning halfbacks since 1980:
1980 = Steve Mortimer, arguably the best halfback of his era.
1984 = Steve Mortimer, arguably the best halfback of his era.
1985 = Steve Mortimer, arguably the best halfback of his era.
1988 = Michael Hagan, Origin level halfback who played 5 Origin games in his career.
1995 = Craig Polla-Mounter, Underrated halfback who many say should've played Origin. Lamb also shared some halback duties with him.
2004 = Brent Sherwin, was a top 3 halfback in the NRL in 2004 & should've played Origin ahead of Finch.
I think for us to win a GF we need a top 5 halfback in the NRL.
RIPHoly fuck you killed him.

Sorry. I forgot.Only call me that in bed, we talked about this.
moses is not a 1million player. no where near it, compare him so someone like hynes who is on what $600? no value in moses and he has won nothing.I expect if he holds his form, Eels will throw what they need to into keeping him. They already lost Papalii and Mahoney this offseason, they somehow lost Moses too, the fans will burn down the clubhouse. We can help pump up his price though, make them pay more.
Why not?never gonna happen
Next contract hynes will get 1mil if he keeps it up to be fair.moses is not a 1million player. no where near it, compare him so someone like hynes who is on what $600? no value in moses and he has won nothing.
he is not worth that money alsoNext contract hynes will get 1mil if he keeps it up to be fair.
Yh well the NRL still hasn't decided what the cap is for next season yet...We need to adjust thinking around who is and isn't a million dollar player. If the cap is going up 15-20%, the rules have changed.
Could you give them another call please Marley this is getting fucking ridiculousYh well the NRL still hasn't decided what the cap is for next season yet...
A repeat of this year will earn him a mill IMOhe is not worth that money also
Don’t need him.The Wests Tigers aren’t the only NRL club sharpening their pencil to have a crack at Parramatta’s grand final halfback Mitchell Moses.
Powerbrokers at Canterbury-Bankstown have also identified Moses as the no.7 who can help pilot the club back towards being a top four side and have discussed making a major play to try and land his signature from arch rivals Parramatta.
The development should have alarm bells blaring at the Eels because the Bulldogs are clearly a club on the way up and a halves combination of Moses and Matt Burton in 2024 would transform the Dogs into a serious title contender.
What it most certainly means is Moses is on target to become the NRL’s next $1 million per season player given the Eels, Wests Tigers and Canterbury-Bankstown are all at the table.
The curve ball impediment in terms of the negotiating process is Bulldogs king pin Phil Gould and Moses’s agent and cousin Isaac Moses have long been off.
Gould and Issac Moses have been no speakies for a number of years now but Moses is close to a number of other influential types at the club and that’s how the ball has started rolling.
The possible addition of Moses to a side gaining Reed Mahoney, Viliame Kikau and Ryan Sutton for 2023 shows the Bulldogs mean business under new coach Cameron Ciraldo.
And there’s also no question the club is still seriously looking at making a major play for Panthers back Stephen Crichton to play fullback in 2024.
Canterbury-Bankstown are currently in the process of undergoing a major roster overhaul with a host of current Bulldogs players given permission to look around for other clubs.
The idea is to clear the decks with a view to being able to add another two marquee signings to the roster for 2024.
GOULD’S SYDNEY RAID
The other area where the Bulldogs have been busy bolstering their ranks is right in Gould’s sweet spot in junior development.
Canterbury-Bankstown have recently signed some of the best emerging talent in the Jersey Flegg ranks by raiding the Sydney Roosters and Cronulla Sharks.
Where the Bulldogs have been smart is by offering the rookie players NRL train and trial contracts on top of their playing contracts in the junior grades.
It means new Bulldogs coach Ciraldo is going to have a huge squad of players over the course of the summer during pre-season training.
It also points towards the Canterbury-Bankstown being on the fast track back towards becoming an NRL powerhouse.
