Spot on, if he can drive the culture through the pre season that is a win for the club.
even if he plays Reggie’s and brings the young guys through it is a positive.
all the younger guys look up to him for what he has achieved at the club, you need a hard head in reserve grade
As coaching staff he would have to behave professionally, give criticism, and bust their balls. As a train and trial player, he'd be a part of the crew, suffering as they do. Far easier to help push the culture from this perspective.

When we let him go it was the begining of the downward spiral of the club, we lost our idenity and became yet another mercenary club.
We didn’t let him go mate. We offered market value which was around $450-$500k. The tigers offered him overs at $750k. There is a fair difference between letting a player go compared to not entering a bidding war against a stupid offer.

But in saying that I think it’s ridiculous for people to argue that having him train with us for the pre season is a bad idea. He is a local junior who made a career out of training hard yet people can’t see the value in him training with us ????

Probably the same people who believe the signing rumours from Dave H and Isaac

Better than any other 14 we have at the club and his enthusiasm and love for the club will be of value around the team. Needs to be super fit and to work on that ordinary kicking game of his over the next 5 months.

Haven’t seen him play for years but I’m sure he’d still go better than most of the halves we’ve currently got in our Top 30.

Worth getting him back around the boys to teach them a thing or 2 about hard work, pride and passion.
