He's still fit and pretty much injury free most seasons. Can easily play till 36 i reckon. 2 year offer and he would really give us the experience and guidance this team really needs..get it done Gus and co
Bingo. The key here is the 2 year period.
Getting him for 2 years even at 900k or 1M per season is better and lesser risk than giving him 700k for 3 years.

Seems to me, if they offer him more and keep him we go for Sullivan cos he’ll get pushed out. But if they lowball hunt to try keep Sullivan, there would be an opportunity there…

Desperately need him Flamingo has been exposed badly not that he was ever a good player but it was bearable the spines in check if we get him.

700k is hardly being low-balled. Dragons are still sitting 10th on the ladder and will miss the finals like the rest of us.

Can see Dragons moving a little on that offer and him staying

Interesting situation at the dragons, do they keep Hunt and offer for 2024, 2025 and loose Jayden Sullivan or do they release hunt for next year for asking for too much then rebuild with Sullivan and Amone and we recieve Hunt for next year and 2024. Possibly win-win for us either way.

Have always liked Ben Hunt and he would be an instant fix for 7, but only if we have a plan for 2 years from now to replace him with a junior.

In hindsight Adam Reynolds or Mitchell Pearce would have been a better fit.

My only concern with Hunt is his ability to turn games or get teams over the line in big games. Let’s not forget. For the last 2-3 years the talk about him was he was washed up, not of good value. Saints even had him playing hooker. If you are to throw 800k or more at someone you’d want to be sure they are the game changers. Last thing you’d want is a passenger Burton will carry for 3 more seasons.
