We’ve been telling you for a month now the Bulldogs have got their coach lined-up for next season in Cameron Ciraldo.

It hasn’t been officially announced yet but it’s only a matter of time.

The next player we’ve also heard Canterbury-Bankstown are doing their homework on is the Panthers player who’s made headlines all this week.

Yep, the Bulldogs are looking at signing Panthers utility Jaeman Salmon.

It’s by no means over the line but Ciraldo obviously knows the utility who has played every game for the Panthers this season extremely well.

The Panthers are also crunching their salary cap numbers to try and retain Salmon but it’s going to be a balancing act with big-name State of Origin players like Brian To’o and Stephen Crichton also off contract at the end of 2023.

The Ciraldo appointment is a smart move from Canterbury-Bankstown but it’s also important to acknowledge what a brilliant job Mick Potter has done.

Unsung and old school, Potter has the Bulldogs playing an entertaining brand of rugby league with the ball mixed with some typical, Bulldogs-style gritty defence.

I'd rather a better player who was a specialist in their position and near the top of what they do. Think we'd be better served with a talented youngster or homegrown player serving the utility role and trying to recruit other positions.

I call BS lol.
End of Gus and Sticky's friendship if that happened. It's not Gus' style.

I hope this isn't true, unless they are looking to bolster reserve grade.

Good grief! Another reason to hate on the club and another Panthers player…. Give it a bloody rest!!

We need some quality or rising stars, Salmon is neither of these.

How many more Panthers do we possibly need? We've signed about 5 or 6 in the last 2-3 years, including 2 of their best. Do we really need another?
So, we shouldn't sign a potentially good player because we've already signed a few players from the same club?

Sounds like the Man United transfer committee approach, that does

He will then be a strong stomached Dog!.

I haven't seen him play, where would he fit in?
