Country Update
GM of Football, Phil Gould, has recently undertaken a trip to the North Coast of the State to meet with a number of officials in the area in regard to strengthening the Bulldogs Pathways programs in the area.
This is a region rich in football talent, and Gould will work closely with local administrators and coaches to make sure that the best players are identified and given the best resources to help develop them, on and off the field. |

Pathways Program
The Pathways Program has taken major steps in recent weeks under the leadership of Barry Ward.
One of the main focusses has been to establish a system that best gives players from the Junior League the opportunity to move into the Bulldogs Junior Development Program.
The Junior League has established a Development Program for Boys and Girls in the 14-17 age groups, with a natural progression into the trials for the Harold Matthews, SG Ball, Tarsha Gale and Jersey Flegg sides, which all begin this week.
These trials will lead into the first round of the Junior Representative Program, starting in February next year. |

NSW Cup
Preparations are now well underway for the return of the Bulldogs NSW Cup side to Belmore.
The side will be selected from the NRL Top 30 squad, in addition to development and train and trial players, as the club looks to create the complete pathway that will see all junior squads form a pyramid that will lead to the NRL side.
This will enable each of the sides to learn the same structures and skill sets that will teach them the ‘Bulldogs Way’, and lead to a smoother transition between age groups.
To assist with that process, Shane Millard (Head Coach – Academy and Pathways) and Gurpreet Singh (Head of Strength and Conditioning), have been appointed to the Pathways Staff. |
