Hoppa has given his 100% over the past few years & has appears to be a good influence on his younger team mates. Sadly his Use-by-date has arrived very quickly. Unless he can transfer to the forwards, he is looking at retirement this year. He is fine with close in tackling, he is just to slow laterally. Opposite coaches know this & are exploiting this

All went to shit when his brother made him look like a amateur last yr v manly, he never came back from that. Clearly hates the centre’s, but didn’t put his body on the line or quick enough for fullback, he’s lasted on soft hands and soft hands alone..

hoppa sadly is now past his use by date, very good footballer in his day, but with the team struggling last couple of seasons it has also brought on a big decline in hoppas own game

its time to call it quits at seasons end

Until Meaney comes back or Rd 11 (whichever comes first), there is no-one to replace him. This whole top 30 idea is terrible when you have crap players.

Jake to centre and bringing in Lewis/Wakeham to 6? Very debatable whether this would improve or worsen the situation.

Can Doorey play centre? I'm not joking.

Got Cotric outside him and swings the ball back in.
How many times did Cotric touch the ball?

He has never been that great. He puts on first class performances while playing for his country. For the Bulldogs he has a few good games here and there, and a ton of average games. He's never been a superstar for us.
He was the best player at the club in 2018 & 2019.
Even last season he topped the club's Dally M votes even though injured for 10 rounds.
This season however not good.
But point is you have a short memory!

He was selected for State of Origin a few years back as a centre. He lasted two
plays and was moved to the wing. He was to slow there as well although he did score an easy try.

He may have been our 'best' in the past, but to be fair, his competition was extremely light - the difference between the best player and the worst player in our team was very small... A paddock full of plodders is still a paddock full of plodders, one of them has to be named 'best Plod'.

At least his Dad brought a bit of passion (and romance) into the game.
I am 100% certain that we would get more out of 5mins from his dad than what we have had from Hoppa in 6 rounds

John Hopoate has re-enacted one of the most notorious acts in Australian sporting history when he finger-poked opponents at the Legends of League tournament on the Central Coast.

Wearing a white glove, Hopoate appeared to focus on the nether regions of several Newcastle Knihgts legends during the exhibiiton event.

If he did that to Andrew Johns he would have been able to go in elbow deep.
