Yes true. We agreed months ago that they not only had to learn new plays but they had to unlearn so much of the stodgy one out runs etc as well.

Under fatigue the settlers came back.
It's a learning curve for us.
This is not under 10's this is first grade. They are paid professionals.

Yeah he was upbeat as well because the things that went wrong are easy fixes, but you can tell he was very disappointed with the players coffing up ball in dangerous positions and the very soft inside shoulder defense.
He was pissed with most of the player except a few. He said sprinkled across the team a few played well.

Greatly contributed? What did Ogden do? Atoni? Napa? RFM? Nothing. He was our best prop.
Yes, greatly contributed. Forwards got rolled and he was a huge part of that along with others. We failed as a unit, but individually he was poor.

Hetherington: 57 minutes, 7 runs for 61m, 25 tackles.

Ogden: 51 minutes, 15 runs for 135m, 17 tackles.

Renouf: 27 minutes, 4 runs for 48m, 22 tackles.

Do you not see a problem here? What the actual fuck is Hetherington doing on the field other than thrashing about and waving his hands around like a lunatic? He wasn't dominant enough or involved enough to be considered anywhere close to good. He was poor like most of the rest of the pack.

Hetherington has always had terrible stats. He isn't going to fix our problems.

He's a bit part player that can play a role off the bench, that's it. That's our problem though, our pack is filled with bench forwards that can play limited minutes and not enough top 13 standard forwards. At this stage Elliott is probably our only genuine starting quality forward?

We just need to hope Thompson comes good, but even then, still need another quality prop. Thompson won't be getting a "pass" like he got last year. That money could of bought almost any quality prop in the game that was off contract (e.g. Taukeiaho or Welch, Welch wasn't unrealistic at all at the time).

Basicly we don't have frontrowers of comparable stature to the other teams to control the ruck.

They are all secondrower shapes even Atoni would be 2ndrow in another team probably?
Except for Napa who is hopeless and well past it for agility and post contact metres.

Having said that the weight of possession fatigued them but, like last year, they look like they are too short and stocky and it takes more effort oit of them to bring down the more robust attackers fighting to ptb.
