But but but: fReE sPeEcH!!
#bigtechconspiracy :tearsofjoy:
The level of childness is amazing. They've been warned over and over and over again "Do not spread misinformation on their platform otherwise they will ban you!!!!" and once they get banned, as you say, FREEEEEZZZZEEEEEEEE PEACHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is why we need regulations around free speech (which are in existence the world over, e.g. defamation etc) because there's a large chunk of the population who CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO ACT LIKE ADULTS. That's the plain, simple fact of it.

We see it here on this forum every fucking day, dawgfather cannot help posting his discredited opinion's day after day after day, the idiot does not know how to act like an adult, he's a fucking child who thinks by saying the same bullshit, discredited, racist bigoted shit over and over again that eventually it's going to get a pass

Caravans of Hondurans have been crossing the Guatemalan border on their way to the U.S.

Now that they know that Biden is going to be in charge they feel confident to know that they can likely cross into America without too much trouble.

Mate of mine in Ohio just messaged me: ‘Armed insurrections went well. We had 4 people turn up to our State Capitol building with pro-Trump signs. They left when it started snowing’. Popcorn anyone? :tearsofjoy:

The Rudester says he's working on Trump's impeachment defence and will argue voter fraud. Says ‘if we can prove it’s true then he didn’t incite the Capitol invasion’. And the other 59 failed lawsuits??

Good to see Donny’s crack team at it again :tearsofjoy:.

Ha. Hadn’t seen the denial. Classic.
The rats are turning on each other.
Eastman can do it, he’s got plenty of time on his hands now that he’s ‘retired’ :-).
He’s the lunatic who says there were ‘secret folders’ on Dominion voting machines that flipped the result for Biden and that they have ‘proof’. Where was it in the 59 legal cases? Go on Donny, hire this guy! :tearsofjoy:.

Lol fuck me dead
Gun safety expert Stephen Gutowski posted a picture of a sign outside his local store in Virginia that shows there’s “basically no ammo available”.

He said there are still lines of people outside the shop and inside there wasn’t a single pump-action shotgun available.

Didn't know this.

Question time!
You say that Biden will be trying to pass COVID relief measures in the Senate once he’s sworn in, but don’t Democrats now control both houses? Is anything really going to be a challenge?

-Thought I Was Following
In the House, it'll breeze through. Democrats have a comfortable majority there.

But in the Senate, things get much more difficult. And that's because of a thing called the filibuster. If you want a deep dive into what it is, go here. But basically, it means that for most BIG stuff in the Senate, Democrats will need 60 votes. Biden's COVID-19 relief package is one of those BIG things (as would be plans to add Supreme Court judges, grant DC statehood etc).

One Senate Democrat, Joe Manchin has already expressed issues with Biden's plan. As have several Republicans. So it's not going to be smooth sailing through the Senate, even though Democrats have a one-vote majority. But Biden expected this, and part of his campaign pitch was that he was going to be able to work with Republicans to get stuff done. He's about to get his first major test.

There's two key tenants related to the whole "free speech" and Social Media stuff when it comes to the Freedom crowd (Libertarians). Free Speech and Freedom of Association.

Free speech means that the government can't stop you from saying something. Freedom of association means that you can choose who to do business with. Libertarians generally want unrestricted free speech and unrestricted Freedom of Association, including removing any discrimination laws so Christian bakers can refuse to make cakes for gay weddings while also telling that gay couple that they're an abomination.

But ironically it's these same Libertarians that want Twitter and Facebook to be forced to allow people to post what they want. Which completely breaches Freedom of Association.

I get the argument they make though. Get kicked off Twitter, start your own platform. But you need cloud servers for that platform and companies are blocking you from using their servers, therefore you can't have your own platform.

But here's the funny part. This is exactly what Libertarians have been pushing for. Free Speech. Freedom of Association. Less government. What does that lead to? Monopolies. And those Monopolies can choose who they associate with. And if they don't associate with your side then in a Libertarian world, you're screwed.

I find it funny because Libertarians always take the extreme stance. Full capitalism. No social policies. No government involvement. And now they're getting a taste of what that means. A world without compromise.
