Look guys i love and rate foz, but the games gone past him. Sorry
Sure, just like last week where he set up/created 4 tries, too bad Averillo bombed one and made a line break that also should have been a try but there was no one in support. We should be so lucky that all of our players aren't as "past it" as Foran.

Yes but 6 great games a year doesnt do anybody any good. If he cant play a full season and win us a comp.
What is the point in continuing to pour money into him.
Its been a full year since hes played like that and already pulled the wool over your eyes again lol.
He will be out for another 6 months here shortly with his hamstrings again. But everyone wants to give foz another half a mill, and then cry hill is spending all our salary cap.
We have been putting up with this shit for 3 years.
And now all the local experts dont want to cut off our plodders. If he dont stay for 150 to 200 let him go.
Id just completely move on and get someone in and build on them for a premieship in a few years time. Why waste a spot on a broken player that isnt part of our future. But but but he will come good one day lol.
But not the kennel they want to keep foz happy fmd.

The only thing against Foran is his injury record. On ability alone he's one of the best five-eighths in the NRL.

Plainly you have a prejudice against Foran, you only see what you choose to see. When the facts don't support your preconceptions you simply ignore them, for example last year he played 14 matches and was easily our best or second best player in at least 11 of those. Of course I know your response, "well the rest of the team is crap so being the best doesn't mean much". Surrounded by better quality players, particularly a couple of strike players would only make him better. This year in 8 games it's been much the same, 2 tries, 3 forced drop outs, 5 try assists, 3 line break assists. Should have been more of all of them if he had decent support around him. Last week alone 2 try assists were missed because of Averillo's inexperience and no one backing up his line break.

Obviously you're fully entitled to your opinion, but maybe a few facts might help in lieu of your ridiculous exaggerations. Not to mention the number of times you contradict yourself.

his last few injuries have had nothing to do with his back or hamstrings.

There is no denial Foran is a champion footballer but the questions remain...
Remember he always looks so vulnerable limping or twitching.
Can we afford to pay overs for him in the physical condition that he is in ?
His contract is $3 ml for 3 years...How much should we pay to keep him ???

If Forans worth a mil a season then Elliot might as well increase his asking price to well over 500k

100% correct, i have said all along foran is in the top 5 halves in the game. He runs our team, the other current halves are leggless without him.
yes he has let us down, but that is unfortunately part of the game. a player of his quality is $500k plus, he is worth it it if we can fit him in.
he is only 29 and best 3 to 4 years are to come.
if we can jag a top line hooker from somewhere? and a halfback to help him we are a top 8 team next year.

Foran's weakness is long range kicking. I'm yet to see Averillo do anything in this area (and instead seen a running five-eighth/fullback), so I can't pick that partnership. Unless we pick up a hooker that can kick from dummy half, e.g. Ben Hunt, it won't work. Averillo will be in the team, it just wouldn't be at the start of next year for me. Cheers.
Mitch Moses started as a running five-eighth/fullback and has now developed into a top class halfback because he was given an opportunity to shine.

Top 5 five-eights yes, top halves as a whole he's not.

We'll get a preview of him in the 9 jersey this week. Hopefully Baz is watching

1. Keary
2. Munster
3. Wighton
4. Walker
5. Johnson

All five play in the #6 jersey and are currently better than Foran
Foran was picked over Johnson for NZ in the off season. Keary and Munster 100%. I'd only say the others due to Foran's injury record.

Johnson has been close the form half in the NRL this season. Wighton led his team to a grand final last year and Walker's been twice the player Foran has over the past 3 years. With or without injuries, if you could sign any half in the league for next year, you'd take one of those 5 before Foran. He was an amazing player but its been about 6 years since his done anything in the game.

I'd only take Keary and Munster over Foran if we're not including injury records which is what I said in my previous post. Wighton's in a very good team (so is Walker, Foran hasn't been in a competitive team for two to three years). His transition from fullback to five-eighth was massive for the Raiders. If you're watching our games you'd know Foran is doing a lot for our team and is one of our best players every week he takes the field. Foran being picked for NZ over SJ is hard for you to argue against.

Johnson playing like the 7 even though he's wearing the 6

there is no question foran is in the top level class of player when fit and playing uninjured, the big question is if he has another injury or re injuries an old injury, how many games will he miss
any player sitting on roughly a 50/50 percent game appearance for his team is hardly an asset but more of a liability
we keep foran and he gets injured and out for an extended period, the new coach faces exactly what dean pay faced a team with no leader no play maker
foran is a liability to any team and at any price be it 400k or 800k
