Looks like footy/sport is about to be stopped again thanks to 2 selfish bitches from Victoria sneaking into QLD and testing positive. QLD borders shut from 1am Saturday.
The NRL are currently talking to the QLD government. They'll most likely get exemptions as they did when there was a full border closure.

The Swans and the Giants are moving to QLD for at least the next few weeks. They have a hub setup there for the other teams already.

I'd love to see the NRL shut down before seasons end, tbh....anything to stop the cheating pricks from threepeating.

The conspiracy theory types are usually the trailer trash types, like that stupid bunnings bitch who claims she's knows all because she's been a psychic since she was 9 years old
Try to follow this conspiracy...

The conspiracy is that conspiracy theorists are made to look like crazy inbred hicks to make people think all conspiracy theorists are stupid to cover up the real conspiracies. Go figure lol

Maybe. But it's more likely two key factors:

1) so it's potentially water proof (better seals)

2) so it's harder to service forcing you to go to Apple to get it repaired
Yeah I think it's more likely number 2 as you mention.

However, people should still be extremely concerned about Google and other social media sites now having a blanket mortgage on how you and I and most people receive their information. It's well documented they alter their search results to provide some opinions while almost 'disappearing' other opinions almost entirely.

Didn't get to try it myself but apparently someone hacked Google definitions or some program so when you searched the meaning of demon, the first answer was "police officer" lol

Yep. But it's not how most people think. It's called "the Rabbit Hole"

They basically design search algorithms to encourage you to keep clicking on things. That means if you're searching for "vote Greens" often then you'll be flooded with left wing rhetoric. If you search certain things on Pornhub often then you'll be flooded with advertising for Asian women in your area. These algorithms have been strongly attributed to the rise of right wing groups and a large reason why Trump won. They're designed to give you what you want to see so you keep clicking on things. Which just makes people believe that the world supports the same beliefs as them.

But there's also a lot of money involved in it. Pay Google enough money and you get search engine optimisation. Meaning that your stuff will show up ahead of everyone else's stuff.

This is the nutter Trump and his moron son tweeted about - https://www.news.com.au/technology/...o/news-story/5b638eb54e54ee19129b1f299ebc005a

She also believes normal doctors are creating prescription drugs using alien DNA and that her and her team are developing a vaccine to make you immune to religion.
This whole Hydroxychloroquine thing is a good showing of how misinformation works in the modern age.

The FDA have currently banned its use for Covid-19 treatment. This is based on two research papers that showed that it can cause heart problems. But both research papers were written by the same Doctor. This Doctor also has a really bad track record of cherry picking data. And more importantly, both those research papers have been pulled from journals as they were found to be flawed. But the FDA still bans it.

And on the other side, one Doctor posting in a prestigious medical journal about how the drug when used in combination with other drugs saves people from dying from Covid-19. He referenced 4 papers all saying that the drug saves lives. And this was backed up by the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons. Seems pretty cut and dry. But...

The 4 papers that the Doctor referenced... one had a sample size of 40. A tiny, insignificant sample and had no blind testing. The other 3 papers all said that Hydroxychloroquine showed little to no impact on the virus. The Doctor just cherry picked some data from those studies. Oh, and the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS). It's a very official sounding organisation. Turns out it's a Conservative organisation with a small number of members. Other than backing this Doctor, it has also posted information saying that abortions cause breast cancer, that vaccines cause Autism, that climate change isn't real. All of these things have been scientifically debunked.

This is the modern age of disinformation. Everyone has a stake in the game and they're all more than happy to spread lies to protect their claim.

The intelligence of democratically elected official of the US of A is wonder to behold - https://www.smh.com.au/world/north-...tive-for-covid-19-report-20200730-p55grf.html

Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert, who steadfastly refused to wear a mask during the coronavirus pandemic, says that he has tested positive for COVID-19, raising concerns that other members of Congress may also have been exposed.

Gohmert declared he probably got the "Wuhan virus" because he had started wearing a mask — not despite it.

"There are an awful lot of people who think it's the great thing to do all the time, but I can't help but think if I hadn't been wearing a mask so much in the last 10 days or so, I really wonder if I would have gotten it," Gohmert said.

I mean lol, farking LOL.
