what the FUCK is this slow ass clown doing anywhere near our team? Surely we have better options like a JMK or someone lol

I expect him to be the slowest back in the comp by far after this latest injury.

Looking at how many outside backs swapped clubs over the off season, and the ones sitting outside their squads why couldn't we get someone else?

Whether or not Pay can coach is up for debate depending on who you ask..

What is not up for debate is his persistance with dud players like Montoya and others who are not NRL level..

If Pay cannot see some of these players just dont cut it at this level, the decision should be a very easy one for the club that a new coach is needed..

Who in the current 28 player roster do you personally consider to be of NRL level?

Im talking about players not up to NRL level other things a can be debated on who you ask..

Pay has persisted with duds like Lewis & JMK in critical spine positions for 2-2.5 years.. He should have could have made a decision long ago they dont have the game for NRL ..

these are players he and the current board signed..

And if he cant see that they arent the solution, where is the brains trust in the football club like Chris Anderson to make the calls on these players if Pay is clearly wrongfully persisting with them..

Not a popular opinion here, but Montoya wasn't actually going too badly in the centres last year before his injury. He was better than Remis at least haha

Give him another crack. Poor guy has had a poor run with injuries and our season's fucked anyway.

We don't have better options. Even at full strength: Hopoate, Reimis, Averillo and DWZ he'd make the team, especially if it's for centre (Meaney option for the wing). This is what we have to put up with due to our roster. I rather Montoya in the centres over Holland. Harper's on the way out. What other options are there?

He was average at best but you’re correct. He is better than Smith at centre. He has height and size but is slow as. There is no one else..

Plus you can't even say Smith has set the bar low because the dud doesn't even know where the bar is...

Our club is in shambles. It’s a sad predicament, I would even take an injured Moga over smith at centre.

This is the roster including the Canterbury Cup players. Lewis has played centre but not his preferred position, Smith injured along with Hoppa. We are extremely thin in the backs so options are limited.
Those who can play in the backs ( other than the halves) are highlighted
Adam Elliott, Aiden Tolman, Brandon Wakeham, Chris Smith, Christian Crichton, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, Dean Britt, Dylan Napa, Isaiah Tass, Jack Cogger, Jake Averillo, Jeremy Marshall-King, Joe Stimson, Josh Jackson, Kerrod Holland, Kieran Foran, Lachlan Lewis, Marcelo Montoya, Morgan Harper, Nick Meaney, Ofahiki Ogden, Raymond Faitala-Mariner, Reimis Smith, Renouf To'omaga, Sauaso Sue, Sione Katoa, Will Hopoate Luke Thompson.

Development squad
Tui Katoa ( Winger) , Matt Doorey ( 2nd row), James Roumanos ( 2nd row) , Tyrone Harding ( winger) , Sebastian Winters-Chang ( Centre) .

We've ALWAYS had slow outside backs - seems to be an obsession by the club (just like hookers who cant pass). Montoya and Hoppa would have to be the 2 slowest outside backs in the NRL (if not CC and Flegg)
Speed should be a prerequisite for any a fullback, center or winger, unless they make up for it other areas (as Hoppa does with his ball playing ability). Montoya sadly offers nothing. I presume the only reason he is in the Top 30 is because he's a local junior. He wouldn't be a NRL player with any other club.

He was slow before his knee op and hamstring injury now he will be snail pace

I would much rather have Morgan Harper start because he is an actual centre not makeshift.
I don’t two fks if he moving on next season we are talking about this week

The squad is the worse or close to the worse in the comp - add to that the development players with maybe one exception are not the better players from 2019 Flegg or SGBall squads.
