Soooo... why havnt we tried cogger at hooker?
I think hed be solid there, great passing game, little nugget and always meets the attacker head on. Couple that with a decent kicking game and he could well be a threat.
1. Averillo
6. Foran
7. Wakeham
9. Cogger
Is probably the best we can do right now in regards to igniting our attack.

Ok, that goes against the grain then doesn't it?

Signing a winger dwz to become a specialist fullback.

Signing a fullback meaney to become a specialist winger.

Resigning a winger reimis smith to become a specialist centre..

Because he’s a good halfback who probably hasn’t had a run in the #9 jersey since under 12’s.

I’d rather sign a specialist hooker than take a punt on manufacturing one out of a half.

we couldn't sign jake turpin for shit money so we sign the bloke he pushes out of that spot for what i would think be more money than we offeted turpin

i dont mind macca as our hooker, hes not as fast as other hookers, but he has a cool head very consistent can organise our forwards, his experience and organizing throughout the game from dummy will help our halves get more consistency to

That's bullshit and you know it ... I'll lay the boot in when it's warranted and now is arguably the most warranted time of the past 3 seasons. I don't think JMK is the answer but I'd rather he just play 80 than sign McCullough
It’s pretty relentless lately. You’re smart enough to know the position we have been in

Ludicrous comparison.

Transitioning between wing/ctr/fullback is extremely common.

Can you list me some names of halfbacks who’ve been successfully manufactured into hookers in their early-mid 20s?

Dean Pay and the board are out of their depth. It’s not a personal attack against the board and the coach but they are out of their depth and we are at the cross roads of success or failure for years to come again and these guys shouldn’t be making the calls. It’s ludicrous.

Hoppa went from fullback to being one of the premier centres in the comp last year.

Meaney exceeded expectations on the wing last year and looks comfortable.

DWZ went well at fullback for us last year. Started this year slow but I’m not gonna mark his card after just 2 games.

Reimis just 2 games in, too early to make a call.

Overall, pretty good mate.

Fair enough

Why was meaney moved to the other wing spot?

The only reason and I will reiterate the only reason this board was elected was because we were so desperate to get rid of the last board. They didn’t bring anything to the table, they made brash promises and have not delivered except continually blaming the last board even 2 years on but play “family club” bull shit.
The reality is they were only voted in because we wanted the last board gone.
That doesn’t exactly Instill confidence and I think it’s shown with sponsors no longer knocking at the door and also many leaving with the last board.

Given we have spots to fill and cap space this year, why did he go to the Knights but is apparently coming to us on a longer contract from next year.....pls . Clearly not happening.

The old idiots would've gutted the roster and had us in a much stronger position by now. Wish this dumb bitch, her dinosaur mates and the clowns on here would just fuck off already.

unfortunately rebuilding is two tasks - clearing out the deadwood (which can take years) and then signing quality players (which can also take a few years). Squads that win premierships are very rarely built in one season. If we do sign both Bateman and Mccullough then i would think with those 2 plus Thompson that we have done a decent recruitment drive for year 1 of having the funds to buy decent players. Obviously Mccollough isnt the best signing, he's getting on and isn't going to be a damien cook like player. But he does bring experience and is a former state of origin player ( a specialist hooker we havent had for years). If his only job is to bring our forwards onto the ball and give our halves decent ball and he does so then he could turn out to be a decent buy for the time being. Im not overly sold on the idea but im also not about to write him off. 4 years is a huge stretch though, 2 year deal - 1 year with clubs option for second would be my hope

It's been fine bar Reynolds and McCullough imo. I'll praise them when warranted but lets take into account for a second that the Bateman stuff didnt leak recently... and Reynolds/McCullough were the only players we've been linked to after missing out on so many players and waiting patiently for so many years. I can understand why people do get upset.
