When are these blokes gonna learn you can’t do anything out of taste these days cause someone is always gonna be filming cause these media outlets pay a shit load for this footage they love bringing down these players any way possible. How much more education do they need on how to conduct them selfs in there spare time especially in public.
And this excuse I’m depressed or the family is doing it rough is getting fucking old as soon as there egos are hurt there depressed it’s the same across society sub standard answer for fucking up depression.
I know a lot of people who suffer from it and can still conduct them selves in public

Plays for one of the 4 "protected species clubs" Roosters, Melbourne, Souths and Brisbane. Also indigenous. You don't need to be Einstein to know the Integrity Unit will find he has no case to answer.
Spot on. He’ll get a small fine, which Rusty will cover.

This whole blackmail thing sounds like a deflection to me. Very much smells like club generated media spin to divert from the real story. The simple facts are Walker was obviously heavily intoxicated, fighting in the street, in public and supposedly reported it to the Wabbits. They in turn deliberately kept it quiet and didn’t report it to the NRL Integrity Unit as they are required to do. If they had reported it at the time then plainly Walker would/should have been penalised.

When they found out that the video was about to surface (as it was always going to) the spin doctors concocted the blackmail story to avoid Walker and the Wabbits from being punished by the NRL. Typical spin doctor tactics, get out in front of it, generate positive media, invoke sympathy and turn the perpetrator into the victim. Text book media manipulation and control of public opinion.

The blackmail story also makes anyone with the video reluctant to release it as they are instantly suspected of being the blackmailer. Subject to police investigation. Genius control of the narrative.

Great work by the Wabbits outsourced spin doctors, find out who they are are hire them for us, we are in desperate need of their services.

Protected? Seriously man, the Mitchell Pearce 8 week suspension and $125K fine for dry humping a poodle is still today the gold standard in overreaction from the NRL. I've seen the so called Cody Walker fighting vid and honestly, the poodle was in more danger of being injured from Pearce chocking and dropping him than either of those farkwits throwing haymakers in the vid.

I wonder if the idiot who's black-mailing him knows he's leaving himself vulnerable and at serious risk of being identified of having committing a serious crime. IQ of a brick wall.
And for 20K? Research needs to be done on why dumb sperm can swim faster than smart sperm.

I honestly don't believe that there is a blackmailer, it's a concocted story by the Wabbit's spin doctors to avoid NRL punishment to Walker for the incident and for the Wabbits not reporting it.

This wouldn't surprise me. Walker knew the video was coming out so he came up with this mysterious blackmail story to shape the news headlines (which actually worked successfully).

It’s Fight Club Night at Casino but Cody Wanker doesn’t have the stomach to face a bro one on one so he decides to take a run up ala Dennis Lillee and strike while the poor sod is only fixated on his real opponent. If you look at his rants on field he always picks on someone smaller and that’s when he’s got the big boys behind him. What a coward!

I reckon it coincides with the exit of that ex CEO of theirs. A cover up possibly.

Did the Rabbitohs play the race card this month one to many times getting their other Abo players off and now converted to playing the blackmail card? It's a new one, I'll give em that at least.

This will take atleast until the end of the season for the NRL to "investigate"....

Meanwhile If it was a dog player he would already be de-registered and the world would forget the pandemic and collectively condemn the person.

The funny thing is that the blackmail....sorry "indigenous-mail" (hate to be racist) part doesn't change a thing for the NRL.

The question's for the NRL are the same and the Police can care about the "indigenous-mail" part.

* Fighting in public and caught on video
* NRL in disrepute
* Souths covering it up and not advising the integrity (LMAO great name for them) unit straight away (Cleary copped extra for lying or concealing?).
* Was this during lockdown? Potential laws being broken again??
* When is Souths as a club going to be sanctioned themselves about the constant disrepute of their players?

So much wrong with this.

That’s what I don’t get. The double standards by the NRLOL are so blatant they don’t even hide it.

This is going to get very messy, hopefully the NRL show some balls and come down hard not just on Walker, but any club officials who knew about it. Wayne Bennet claiming whether he knew about it or not is immaterial is the epitome of ignorance. If he knew about it, and it seems likely he did, the club have a responsibility to self report to the NRL and the Integrity Unit. Anyone who thinks that kind of behavior shouldn’t be sanctioned should also cop a fine and/or suspension.

Does anyone know if the higher ups within our club etc Hill, have made calls to the NRL in regards to harsher penalties towards Souths?
I’m sick of our club basically bending over and continually coping it on a regular basis.

Well, well, well. So now the whole unabridged version of the story comes out. Some media are calling for at least a four week suspension. I don't know why but I always thought that there was more to it then just the alleged blackmail.

IF and only if the blackmail bit is correct, it still does not excuse the player from being drunk when in rehab and under the care of his club ( wages paid until November of each year) and getting involved in a brawl that he had no reason to be involved in.

Once again another very poor look for the game and it will be interesting to see if and when the NRL takes action against the player and if they knew about it beforehand the club itself.
