Fingers crossed we don't piss about with the Nines, and 2 trials, like in previous years.

I'm not talking about winning or losing them, but rather that we chose the teams wisely and use them as a way to kick off the season with momentum. Can't afford to start seasons slowly like in the past.

If Dean is listening to Mace, we aren't stuffing around in pre-seasons/trials anymore :grinning:

Broncos might be set down for four, but two of them are on the same weekend, against Wynnum then a day later Cowboys. No way any broncs player is in more than 3 trials.

Our Canterbury Cup side will be playing a trial against an under 23 representative side from Group 3 area up our way on Feb 8. Will be interesting to see who plays in that one. Nice and close to home for us at least as is the one in Port.

I'd be interested to see your best 17 Kiwidog. Please share

Ps. Don't include Leviaha Pulu. The club decided not to sign him despite your hot recommendation

The PNG game is the perfect pre-season trial, nothing like an over seas trip to a foreign country with the lads for bonding and the atmosphere at the game will be like a semi-final.

You are another that thinks running around the field is better than playing trials?

We missed the jump in last two years because Pay brushed trials and thought 40 mins was good enough to go into the season

Ps I’d take Pulu over C Smith
