Either way tonight, either Storm or Roosters were going to be out, so it was always going to be a good night.

Once again, the two teams that got a weeks break are in the GF. The "having a week off hurts you" myth is surely busted.

Don't mind seeing Cronk get it over Smith again, seems to be less a heartless bastard.

Not what i wanted i guess but its hard not to be happy in some way that Storms season is over. I just hope Storm have softened them up enough for the Raiders.

Go Raiders!

So didn't Burgess miss a game for hair-pulling? Keary should get the same then. I guess Nick will take care of it though.

Are the Roosters really that great?
One try off a kick where he was held, bobbled it and they scored.
Then the other was caused where Storm defender just slipped magically allowing Angus to go through right through. SO much LUCK involved like last night.

Well the Raiders had a good run this year.

Olam was totally wrong footed on that play, Cronk had him bamboozled, he slips over because he is trying to go two directions at once

Not even close to their best tonight... so definitely not great tonight, but that team when they play their best footy are a level above the pack.. key players across the park

Was a strange game. Defensively both teams where solid first half. After half time I thought roosters were shot but they must have played well to hold out the storm. One things for sure, the doggies are far behind the lead packs in regards to professionalism and consistency. Play of the ball speed, strength for 80 mins and just motoring the ball forward against the tougher teams.

Bellamy muffed this one with his team selection and bench... never underestimate having a big back three.
1. Papenhuyzen
2. Olam
3. Chambers
4. Scott
5. Addo-Carr
Should have been the backline, they needed something extra on the kick returns and Olam would have provided that.

Hughes was so slow at 7... Croft should have always been there with Jarome at 14. Late in the second half they needed to get him out of the way and Cam needed to go to 7 with Brandon going to 9 to actually try get them to play straight off his hard running scoots... haven't seen the Storm play so sideways and slow in a while

Bellyaches biggest stuff up was changing a his spine who were comfortably on top of the ladder before the finals.. But I guess we all knew that Roosters were still the team to beat, and almost a certain to win tonight regardless of what squad Melbourne put out

Definitely agree. Yeah the refs were quite shite in the first half, but Storm were off as well. They did well to get back into it but some brain-snaps cruel ed em. Kafusi was a massive loss for them. Wonder if this is the start of the inevitable decline of the Storm. That Addo-Carr knock-on against Canberra basically ended their season.
