Hope true, while he has a mistake in him, he is nowhere’s near as clumsy as some allude. He’d be a massive signing for us, he’s a 20 try per season outside back ffs
Exactly. Look at Blake Ferguson’s impact at parra.
Modern wingers are like props. Their metres are critical.
I hope we get him and BJ

I'm over Oates. He can take a pay cut to stay with his beloved Broncos...

We don't exactly struggle with metres from our backs though. I personally think we need more fleet footed backs rather than someone in the Oates mould.

I'd try and snag Oates and Bird if the price is right. They were a damaging combo when Bird was finding form earlier this year.

Yeah maybe that would maybe allow Remis to play centre. He had speed.
I get your point. But f me we just need to inject some attacking life into our team. Oates is quality.
I would rather an attacking ball playing hooker but damn I will take any quality addition.
For example DWZ. His impact was significant.

I’d rather Meaney and smith than Oates.
Meaney will just get better still very young.

I prefer Smith on the wing, doesn't look as suited to centre though I suppose things could change with him playing more there. I'd rather go with Joey if we can get him at a good price and slot him into the centres than go with Oates. I'm also not convinced with DWZ at fullback long-term, his lack of ball playing is a concern and needs to be addressed within this season.

When Oates is good, he's very good. When he's bad, he's shocking. He's been pretty shocking all year and wouldn't be worth the money he'd be after for that kind of inconsistency.

I'm not fussed with Oates because I can't see him coming to Sydney for less than $600k. Smith, Meaney, Okunbor are better value for money. Spend the money on a fair dinkum left centre, not a left winger who apparently wants to play second row.

I LOVE Oates, but surely this is bs. I just can't believe it. I've always wanted him, but I thought there was no way we'd get him for 600k or less. If we did sign him it'd be around that mark.
No it wouldn't

For the right price I wouldn't hesitate for a second and can't believe after our drought some are saying no. How can you hold him individually accountable for the shape the Bronc's are in? That game yesterday, the things I noticed were 3 season too long Boyd, Fat & slow Milford and that idiot Neanderthal Lodge. Oates is proven and perhaps in a youthful bullet proof and rejuvenated line up he could do anything. He's good for atleast 10 tries at the minimum. As long as it's not massive money then he is better then Okanbur and the likes of Crichton.
