CHN can play centre as well, not an option I'd personally like to use but a backup nonetheless. I'm pretty sure I could name a position in every team where they are short on back up. For example the Storm don't have an uninjured full back at all let alone a decent back up. On the subject of fullbacks, who decent does Manly have to step up with Trbojevic out injured? Who's the quality back up for Lawrence at the Tigers? Rapana at the Raiders, Graham at the Sharks, Bolton at the Cowboys, Inglis at Souths, Ma'u and Pritchard at the Eels etc how good are their backups?

With the 30 player limit there are always going to be positions in the 17 that don't have quality back ups. Most on here know our team better than outsiders and as a result we often have a better handle on the strengths and weaknesses of our team, but the grass is always greener when it comes to other teams.

The argument is not about other teams it’s about ours and particularly our outside backs

CHN would be a stop gap as he’s not a specialist/preferred centre

Love your tinted blue and white view on everything but reality is we will need a few things go our way (injury free) and youngsters to step up ie Harper otherwise we are in a world of hurt

Naming other teams problems doesn’t magically fix ours. I specifically said we are very weak in the outside backs to begin with let alone players below that. Unless we buy some players during the year it will be a major problem should injuries hit.

All I think about ppl tipping us for the spoon is they have made it very easy to prove them wrong.

We’re thin on experienced depth no doubt.. but we’ve got quite a few young outside backs looking to make the leap into first grade.

If an experienced player is in reserve grade playing as a backup then odds are they’re going be pretty average anyway.

We’re in a better position having young prospects waiting in the wings than having a shit load of experience with no enthusiasm (Des era).

If we aren’t at least 2 wins from the first 5 games we could be in for a very long year.

The main reasons for the wooden spoon prediction is the loss of Klemmer and the lack of faith in Foran ..

I love the fact that klemmer has moved on( he wasn't playing with heart ) and replaced by someone with a win at all costs attitude.. Foran has the same attitude and can also read the game. We'll be fine.

Yes definitely, Klemmer was playing without any heart or impact and was very predictable, Foran will want to repay the club that has stood by him even though they could have justified a release on medical grounds, if he holds up physically (please God) he will repay the club and fans 100 fold!
The pack is tough, mobile and mean and the backs look fast and smart, if they all play to their potential and we don't have too many injuries we should be in the top 6 at least.

I agree that Klemmer is the reason that the media is barking.. all they are factoring in, is his incredible stats and not what we've gained

We are tipped to come last, but that's only an opinion
Dean pay has replanted the BULLDOG DNA seed back in the soil at belmore, and with time this DNA Will start to grow. As Bulldog fans we need to have patience,it's not a short term fix but once it starts to blossoms we will be happy fans again. Let's just enjoy this 2019 season. Up the might Bulldogs!!

The same 'experts' tipped Parramatta to finish in the top 4 after their 2017 season. How did that work out again?

I do t know where all the fuss over klemmer is coming from. He’s not SBW.
Williams used to regularly win us games, can anyone name a single game klemmer won for us. He was a contributor, admittedly a big contributor at times, but nothing more.

Though it was only a trial, in the first half against Canberra with the top squad on we pretty much dominated all over the field, the knuckleheads only see the score at the end.

I'm thinking the best price you are going to get for us to win the comp or even just make the 8, will be now, before we have played a game. We all are crossing our fingers with Foran. If he plays well and at least 20 games, we will have a good year.

Can't the Dog still sign 1 development player to use as depth for last half of games ?

Our forwards will keep us in games this year
Foran and Lewis in the halves will create some opportunities.
Young, keen, fast backs eager to prove themselves.
Like the majority of teams a few injuries and our depth is exposed.
If lady luck gives us an even break we may sneak into the 8...
Better an optomist then a pessimist.

Lichaa is and ALWAYS will be my BIGGEST concern until we Fuck him off. Can't believe he's still there after we got rid of all the other rot.
If we sort out DH or everyone else plays out of their skin I can't see why we can't be 4 from 5.
I think we have an awesome draw besides Storm rd 4. Very winnable games.
