I think if you switched Hoppa to the wing and Crichton to the centre’s it would a better backline overall. Especially with Crichton’s height not being such a detractor a centre

Really? Josh was a great servant, he should have stayed.. When fit Brett was a gun, but I’m afraid his best years were at the Dragons..

Keen to see Harper in fg but probably a year off at least. I'd say the same as your lineup @Arthur

Would like Hoppa on the wing but he will probably be forced into centre. Meaney has to start at fullback if he's playing firstgrade. Holland and Smith have to make up one edge so that leave Crichton or Montoya to take up the the final spot..

4- Hopoate/Harper/ a signing
5- Crichton/Hopoate

With so many signings and unproven young blokes who bloody knows. Happy to go with Pay on this one as he is working with them everyday, I'm sure he will know what their strengths are.

I'd take Crichton. To me he gets sets started better out of dummy half better than Montoya. Montoya is like a slug out of dummy half.

Hoppa cant play on the wing hes a slug
I guess it all comes down to Meaney succeeding or not at FB.

But I'd still try those 5 boys in the Back line, maybe not in the positions, but as long as they are on the field.

He looked pretty underwhelming for the Panthers this season despite a lot of people having wraps on him. Like you said he gets out from dh well but he didn't really have much pace and his finishing was rubbish. Hopefully he just needs time to adapt to firstgrade because we really need some decent backs.

What I reckon:
1. Hoppa
2. Smith
3. Holland
4. CHN/??
5. Crichton

What is most likely:
1. Hoppa
2. Smith
3. Montoya
4. Holland
5. Crichton

Can't see any of those 5 missing out for Meaney.
