I assumed they could add to the development squad at a later date. Just assumed - don't know for a fact.
They don’t need to be finalised till June 30 next year! It’s pretty smart leaving 2 open and see who fires in the lower grades so we can bring them in instead of putting 2 players in for the sake of it. It might be a good incentive for the young guys.

Thanks for clarifying. My blood pressure has just gone back down now.

Klemmer not going anywhere unless they're getting the burgess boys and hayne is no chance in the blue and white.
Klemmer has agreed to terms with the Knights. He doesn’t officially return until the 19th November. This is when he & his now manager Moses will request the release. Bulldogs Management are seriously looking at Napa & monitoring the Rabbitohs situation in relation to the Burgess twins. Taupau unfortunately has priced himself out of a return to Belmore.

What happens if they refuse to release klemmer?

The Klemmers have been an unsettling factor at the club for more than a year. He was the go between in getting buddy Woods to the club. He got his not out of joint when he realised Woods, through his manager Moses was on better coin than himself, hence why he has repeatedly asked for a release. He had previously received a massive offer from the Eels. He has since engaged Moses to negotiate his future contract.
Both club management & the the playing roster will be relieved when they (the Klemmer’s) are gone.
This will free up $900k for next season + a very tidy TPA...

Cant see Saddler being in the top 30 - given his comment of hoping to be in the flegg side at the beginning of next season. Can anyone clarify that Saddlers body shape changed significantly in the time he was injured - he seemed to have come back last year overly muscled up and "wide" - greatly affected his mobility n speed. My recollection of him in trial before 2017 comp was far more mobile player with a bit of footwork n speed. Possibly confusing him with someone else. Seems less baulked up in current photos.

His contract provides that he is in the top 30 for this season. Doesn’t mean he has to play grade. We tried to entice him to sign with us initially and offered a ridiculous sweetener (like we always did under Pay) and now we’re stuck with him in the top 30.

Same as Wakeham

Thanks for that -he was so slow last year in Shield level. Hopefully he can prove people like me wrong.
Whats the story with Jarard Anderson - he was playing, from the bench in Ron MAssey second half of last year.

Pay got Horny when the World Cup was on and Saw Anderson kill it for Ireland and Cerruto kill it for Italy and signed them to fill the last few spots on a budget. They are both decent players imho, and deservingly so deserved a contact somewhere after their World Cup performances. Don’t know why anderson was relegated to Ron Massey. I can only guess because our ISP team was too strong last season or he was trying to get some match fitness after long term injury....Anyone else know...?

This is very left field but why not try and sign Cory Denniss. Newcastle already have plenty of outside backs and he could be a good buy in a position we need depth in plus he’s already played some first grade and look ok.
