Maybe the Simpsons should have went for the Adult angle around then - would make sense. Those of use who watched it as teenagers at the start are now in our 40s.

I think shows like family guy and south park just surpassed it in terms of quality, and that has to do with what you mentioned. South park is still good in patches whereas family guy went to shit years ago imo but I agree 100% Croydon Laurie Dog
