Please don't go to Iraq... There are other and much safer holiday destinations.

Livestream.com/nrl
It's not as bad as they say it is + I'm going to the northern regions in Iraq which is relatively safe, still a 30 min drive in the wrong direction could be fatal, thank god I won't be driving haha.
my nan is getting old and I haven't visited since 06' I really miss my extended family and a bunch of cock loving terrorist aren't going to fuck my holiday

My biggest worry atm is Bulldogs making the finals and missing a potential premiership! Then again there are plenty of kennel members that will tell me that won't happen haha.

Do I have to pay for livestream do I watch it with the NRL app?

I doubt there is going to be an Aussie sports bar in downtown Baghdad.

If you can get a decent internet connection, I'd imagine livestream should work?
Apparently the Internet there is just as good as the Internet here! How the fuck is that even possible!
But yeah their internet is really good,

Good luck with the visit to Grandma, mine would have turned 102 today.
livestream.com/nrl is free streaming and legal from most locations outside Australia, as long as they are in Germany etc.
I very much doubt the NRL App works outside AUS, I haven't tried mine.
The archive of 2016 season is also available through livestream site, thus replays if you happen to miss due to time-zone.

Bump.

Has anyone here been to Macau?

Mrs CD has a work trip to HK coming up and I decided to tag along (why not? Staying in 5 star hotel). We are taking an extra couple of days at the end to duck over to Macau, somewhere neither of us have been.

Thinking of sightseeing during day, then hitting the casinos at night and staying a night.

Anyone have anything they can share?

Ok so to my brothers @Mr Invisible @south of heaven @ASSASSIN @Mr 95% @MatstaDogg @K E - and anyone else I might have missed...

Switzerland is one of the nicest countries I've ever been to - and I'd love to go back.

We stayed at the bottom of a valley in a really cozy chalet. The top of the valley contained Swiss Alps. In order to get to the alps you need to catch a train from the local town station. So even on a beautiful picturesque summer's day (as in the photo below) it would be snowing on the top of the alps. Not a cloud in the sky yet it's snowing. Incredible. This my friends is the valley of Lauterbrunnen. As you ascend to the top of the alps, you see the Swiss Cows with bells on them.

The consistent snow on the alps melting results in 72 stunning waterfalls all around the valley. This culminates in a beautiful river running through the heart of it (below). In all honesty, I could live here.

Also, we'd only be a stones throw away from the worlds longest toboggan run. Honestly... how good would this be :-)

Looks pretty nice tucked away there between the mountains. It looks so lush and vibrant.

It is mate, really really nice. The pictures don't do it justice. You have go there for yourself and be in it to actually experience it's beauty. Nice and serene.

Now you have an excuse to go :-)

A friend of mine had only been there once when she was a girl, however went back there when she met this guy she was seeing who lived there. Long story short, they're married now and live here. They go back every few years though to visit his family.

A friend of mine did a similar thing. Met a Finnish girl while he was on a working holiday in England and ended up following her back to Finland. He's been living there for a few years now.

I wouldn't mind seeing Finland. Well Scandinavia in general. My cousin went there a few years ago and said it was awesome. I'm not sure if it would be nice enough for me to live there though being that close to the North Pole, but definitively to see.
