Agree. I've never criticised Hoppa or Tolman.
Hoppa worth at least the $220k Tolman at least $270k if there were other options out there I wouldn't mind exploring for this kinda money but around this money I'd be happy with these guys in our squad.
Nothing like Mbye on 900k etc, that seems like deliberate sabotage.
I don't think we'd be amazing but if we had just an average hooker this year we'd be in the 8.
Should throw the big coin at Munster and Hodgson. Build around those guys, with astute coaching:recruitment any team wearing blue n white with those two blokes would challenge for a premiership.. Munster to get Foran's coin if we retire him. Offer Josh H 800k over three years.

Not confident in our clubs ability to sign anyone of note..

Elgey would be a coup though has the potential to be a longterm NRL halfback

I think you hit the nail right on the head when you mentioned development.
We are sadly lacking a real development program. We need a development coach who can
work with players on a one on one basis. There is a lot of good kids in the lower grades who havnt made much of a progression.
The lower grade coaches are sadly lacking in ability.

You think I'm delusional?
Hopoate is the best option we have at fullback now.
His positional play is certainly better than Mybe.
You have got to be fucking kidding on the Master's try????
That was a straight missed tackle by Josh Morris.
This "can't find a place for him" is utter bullshit.
Unlike the vast majority of our squad he would be a walk up start in most NRL starting 13s as he can play mutilate positions.
Also not to mention he has the most effective offload in the team by a country mile.
True that Morris missed the tackle. But where the fuck was Hopoate? He was meandering away from where the action was.
Surely any half decent fullback would be in a defensive position.
As far as finding a place for him, I wonder where.
Hes to slow as fullback, wing or centre, He cant tackle so hes no good as a forward.
I pity the clubs lining up for him. Just hope they take him. He is our weakest link.

I was surprised to see we have the 9th best defence in NRL (conceded less than Broncos)
We need a squad - or at least several individual players - that can score points next year. We have still been in games late on but can't score a friggin try.
JMK is the one guy I'm not confident with. He doesn't look like a 1st grader. Although I said that about Holland earlier this year and changed my tune on him!!
Would start next year with Lewwy & Foz in halves.

Ha......I don't know what games you are watching. Clearly not the same games as me.

I watch the games with both eyes open. Have a look at Hopoate when that try is scored. He was absolutely abysmal.
He showed no interest at all in making any sort of tackle.

Nu Brown as our 80 minute hooker.....

Mmmm...let’s ponder that for a minute.

No chance, the bloke was blowing after 20 mins last night, he needs to work on his fitness big time if he wants more game time, that’s one of the reasons keeping Lichaa in the run-on team.
Yeah I was gonna say if he wants to start at hooker and make it his own the guy has a longggg way to go with his fitness

I think that team is about as good as we can hope for. I would prefer someone to replace Hopoate though. Maybe Chris Smith.

With our current squad and everyone fit;
Meaney
Smith
Hopoate
Holland
Montoya /Crichton
Lewis
Foran
Klemmer
JMK
Tolman
RFM
Martin
Jackson

Brown
Sue
Ogden
Elliott

Depending on how much coin we have for next year I'd like to see us get some decent centres, not much on the market though.
