Dogs site have posted up pictures of Lachlan Burr in action and he looks ready to rip in.

Question is, where does he fit in? Is he potentially a starter / bench player, or like Priest is he likely to remain in reserves the entire season?

Who can tell from photos. If he's good enough he will earn a shout at some point. It's up to him to perform.

I think he will definitely start in ISP but I would be surprised if he doesn’t make his way to first grade at some point in the year due to the fact that Pay likes the way forwards like Burr play.

I think he has only been signed on a NSW cup contract and not in our top 30. Zero tackle website doesnt list him as a 'gain' and they normally only show the tier 1 (top 30) contracts. And of course the club website gives us no help in sorting things out. With trials coming up and hopefully some team lists, we should be able to get a better idea shortly.

I'm sure we will see him at some point this season. We gotta remember that we will lose klem, woods and Jackson to rep footy this season. So there's lots of space for rotation

Agree he's a chance and should apply good pressure but is he allowed to play 1st grade if not in the top 30??

Burr has had big problems holding onto the ball throughout his time in the 20s and NSW Cup - didn't pay much attention to when he was playing for Gold Coast. Hopefully this aspect has improved - a lot!

That's what I remember about him, massive unit with feet for hands. But that could be mostly down to Desball, so I'll reserve judgement.

These young forwards will improve now that they have a former forward as a coach.
Hasler didnt appear to understand forward play enough to be effective.
