I just tell them I donate to charities when I can, not when I'm getting pestered by people when I have things to do, nor will i have money direct debited. If they psuh it from there I tell them I'm trying to be polite, they should do the same thing and leave me alone. I find it even more annoying when people do door knocks trying to encourage me to switch Phone, Electricity or Insurance providers. Religious and charity door knockers also annoy me. When they come to my door I generally tell them straight out "before you start your spiel I'll save you some time and just say no thanks". If they persist I just close the door.

Reminds me of when I had a scam caller telling me I'd won a trip to Universal Studios for me and the kids. I was like "OMG that's awesome.... except my kids are all dead" .... the silence was golden.

.....

GRIPE TIME!!!

Our place is brand spanking new. This morning a fucking 3-4m tall tree appears on the nature strip. Developers (pre handing over to council) have decided that the most appropriate tree for the nature strip is a fast growing one that grows 8m wide, 15-20m high, sheds fuckloads of leaves, attracts aphids (which will fuck up our impressive roses), attract fucking bats and flying foxes of a night, and the roots will fuck the lawn, kerb, and driveway.

Oh and the entire front yard is a DBYD "No dig zone" due to internet/power/etc.

Clearly no fucking brains this mob.

Trying to get the lawn to grow as it is, and keep our gardens looking mint and last thing I need is this bullshit.
fuck it off as soon as council leave

lol oh they'd know.

As it stands the thing isn't even planted yet. Just a divot in the ground and they've sat it in (and fucked the lawn in the process). Will be having a chat when they return.

Council will eventually be responsible for pruning and maintaining the tree, but good luck getting them out to prune the bastard or resolve issues when its fucked the kerb and driveway and overshadowed the lawn.

Tell you what though, if it resulted in issues with our roses I'd be fucking fuming... We've got 4 main roses (including one that was my late grandmothers). Each one worth about $200-$500 these days (as they are as about 150cm high and about a metre wide).

haha would love to, but council are lethal and will fine you for removing trees. They've already been advised and heard our gripes and concerns about it.

Another genuine concern is them driving the stakes in to support it, and putting them straight through a utility line.

If I see them out the front I'll be quick to remind them it's an asset affected nature strip and nothing can be planted there .

If you had kept your objections about it silent the trick would have been to just escort the tree to an unknown location under cover of darkness and do your fat german soldier impression "I know nothink". Plenty of people have had plants stolen so it wouldn't have been an unlikely thing to claim it went walkabouts without your knowledge.

They actually do that because they are sick and they use it so they dont spread the flu/germs.. so you should be thanking them....
A Taiwanese work mate wears it whenever he's sick. He asks why I don't do it and I day, "if I'm getting sick then I'm bringing everyone else down with me.

It's currently 3-4m tall (as a seedling/mature seedling).

It's a fast growing tree that will end up 8m wide, and 15-20m high eventually.

and with deciduous trees generally the root system is twice the width/the height in diameter... so around 16m diameter root spread.

Do what I do bob - join Cloudinary. Free, ad free, endless possibilities. Their only issue is some size restrictions on images, but then again you can use DeviantArt for that.

That's worse. They are breathing in and out the same germs over and over. They should remove the masks giving them access to clean, fresh oxygen.

There's a good chance something you're wearing, touching, sitting on, or standing on is from china and was handled by Chinaman. Now please... do NOT say anything negative about Chinese people anymore... I have a very hard fetish for their women at the moment :hearteyes::hearteyes:

You remind me of a line from an episode of Veep.

Ben, on of my favourite characters, and one of the VPs former advisers gets a job at Uber to help them lobby government. He lasts one day. Ben talks abut getting in contact with a Chinaman in congress...

Uber Guy: (to Ben) Here at Uber and in the rest of the world the word Chinaman is considered inappropriate.
Ben: No, no, no. It's okay. My wife is Oriental. All of them have been. I kind of got yellow fev-ah.

Well now you've sparked my stalking sense. Let's hear it bro, hair colour, skin colour, height, boob (big, medium, non-existent, fake), nationality, how many times they take a shit during the day - I want their life story with your next post. Yalla.
