Pay cracks the whip for Brown

Bulldogs coach Dean Pay has had to crack the whip with new signing Fa'amanu Brown.

A talented utility from Cronulla, Brown joined the Bulldogs this year on the biggest contract of his short career.

But the Bulldogs have been less than impressed with Brown’s attitude - so much so that he has been booted out of the NRL squad in pre-season training.

Fa'amanu Brown, pictured here playing for Cronulla, has been told to shape up at the Bulldogs. (AAP)

Pay told the 23-year-old in no uncertain terms to pack up his locker and join the part-time squad until his training effort improves.

I'm hearing the message has got through - and Brown has picked up his performance and is back in the running for a return to the big boys.

Shit attitude the guy probs thought he would walk straight in to a starting halfs spot. Seems like his moping around now. I hope some other club see's this and tries to pinch him so we can release and search for something better for 19.

Shit doesn't sound good.
He just got here.
One woukd think he would be on best behavior and trying to push for a position in the starting 13

On the plus side, it sounds like Pay will not take crap performances from the players.
nailed it.. really good sign from the Pay

Crap performances can happen from time to time but I think Pay just won't take crap attitude. Love his old school mentality, put in at training and work hard, everything else will take care of itself.

No wonder Brown has never cracked first grade with a perm spot.

Pay is making all the right calls it seems.
You only have to recall Brown saying that he wanted to be in the halves when he arrived, it had an air of ‘expectation’ at the time being one of our only signings, now others are on board it sounds like he has thrown his toys out of the cot.
Pay will sort him out.

He's a reserve grader anyway so he's where he belongs. And he was a Des signing which means Des wanted him to play Des ball. He can leave any time he wants. Hail Deano.

Exact interview I was thinking off. Pretty much stated he came here to have First crack at the halves and demanded that role.
I'll tell you now brown eye. kick and scream all you want! It will get you absolutely nowhere. Nobody is gonna sit back and breast feed you matey.

Which Sydney coach tore strips off one of his playmakers at training two weeks ago?

The coach is said to have had enough of this player’s attitude and gave him an epic dressing down in front of the playing group.

Apparently, the spray was so big that the bloke who copped it stormed out of training.

This is about him?

This is the bulldogs way! It’s turn up work your ass off, or go find another club! Sick of having coaches not making players accountable!!! Sick of players and coaches taking our club for a ride or coming in thinking this going to be a piss take!!!
