Lol here we have the most dissapointed man in Australia ...
I am a bit. I was mentally ready to go.

And then BAM, they changed the traditional start dated of 3 Jan to 4th. Nobody from Cricket Australia called me.

I missed most of the day as i was out and about but great way to finish a days play
Me too. I was out running errands all day (one of the joys of running your own small business).

I listened to a bit on the radio, and only got home with about half an hour to go.

What a catch .

I'm calling another innings victory. Poms won't get to bowl on day 5.

England all out - probably a good hundred runs short of what they needed.

Australia in front (not in "control" just yet).

If Uzi had failed here, I think it would have been time to strike a line through his name to say "never to play for Australia again".

Yeah he was well overdue for a decent score, i think bancroft could be pushing shit up hill to get a plane ticket to south africa unless he gets a decent score in the second innings.

He was actually scoring a lot of runs in shield cricket in the lead up and renshaw was looking terrible so he got his spot. So far he looks way out of his depth and it won't be any easier facing the south african quicks in their own backyard either.

Fair enough. Renshaw completely dropped off the face of the earth, looked good when he first started. Guess most younger players really struggle to consistently perform when making the step up to the test side.

yeah i don't know what happened with renshaw, in his first tour of india last year he did pretty well, he was the second highest run scorer for aus (although he only averaged 29) but that is a nasty tour for a young kid and he handled it pretty well. After that he did pretty average against Bangladesh(apart from warner all our batters where pretty average) and than fell into a real hole in the state stuff in the lead up to the ashes and bam he was out.

Smith is literally making mockery of England bowling, beyond disrespect.

I wonder if he would be half as effective on Indian pitches against Indian spinners.

an average of 45 is good against India/ Bangladesh but not as freakish as 166 against the poms in ashes.

yeah he didn't do very well in Bangladesh but he averaged 71.29 in india and scored the most runs of any batsman in that series.
