Souths fans must be so pissed. Their squad has been on the decline and they had so many players leave after 2014 you'd think they could hold onto Crichton at least.

Roosters offered him way more.

Crichton to move in 2019

Angus Crichton has informed the South Sydney Rabbitohs that 2018 will be his final season with the Club, having committed to a contract with another NRL club for 2019 and beyond.

The Rabbitohs made a strong three-year offer to Crichton for his services beyond 2018 however he has chosen to take up a more lucrative offer elsewhere. Crichton will be remaining with the Rabbitohs for the 2018 season.

Crichton has played 30 NRL matches to date, scoring eight tries since making his debut in 2016.

The Rabbitohs look forward to the 2018 season with Angus and wish him the best for the future beyond the end of next season.

they could sign 4 more rep players and the NRL would still think they were under the cap

Souths forward Angus Crichton signs three-year deal with Roosters

South Sydney forward Angus Crichton has defected to arch rivals Sydney Roosters on a three-year deal from 2019.

Following much interest from rival clubs including Cronulla, the gun backrower told Rabbitohs officials on Monday morning he had agreed to terms with the Tri-colours.

Crichton is committed to playing out the 2018 season with Souths, who were not prepared to match the Roosters' enormous offer, which is rumoured to be close to $1 million a year.

There was widespread speculation last week that a deal with the Roosters had already been done, although Crichton was adamant that he hadn't signed.

Yeh hopefully Cordner bolts lol. Fucking joke Of a club and the endless cheating continues.

There’s a reason they continually choke. Karma.

Was really hoping we would throw Eastwood’s Money at him. Interesting to see who We go For cause we gonna have a fuck load of cash

Unfortunately for Souths this was inevitable. Crighton has had 2 dismal seasons at Souths, his form has been excellent but Souths have struggled. Pearce leaving & Nikorima sacked freed up the $$$ for Crighton. He wants to better himself & play finals footy with the opportunity to win a premiership. That wasn’t likely at Souths.
It’s a great career move

Cronk, Tedesco, Crichton all whilst still believing Pearce would remain a Rooster.

And all they had to do was release 2 average drug users and a 34 year old fullback

this is why I find it very hard to stay interested in the NRL, the broncos, Roosters & Melbourne operate outside of the rules the other clubs are forced to follow

If i were the Rabbits i'd be telling him to not even bother coming to training anymore, he can sit on the sideline for the entire season. It's not like Souths will be challenging for a title anyway.

It's a bloody **** move from Crichton imo. 2018 season hasn't even kicked off yet he signs a deal with the Rabbits biggest rivals for 2019. They gave him his shot and looked after him when he moved to Sydney, yet he dogs them at the first chance.

Roosters simply HAVE to win the comp this year. It would be an absolute embarrassment if they didn’t.
Not winning would be like Golden State adding LeBron to their team and still choking.
