First of all I want to state that Mbye was superb and should maintain the hooker position. He was the prime reason to why we created so many oppotunities. Mbye quick dummy half service helped us get the ball out to our backs inadvertently leaving the Newcastle defence vulnerable.
Unfortunately, our execution was abysmal and really needs to be worked on. I was watching back the first half and the amount of missed oppotunities was ludicrious.

Matt frawley is really showing that he isn't first grade standard and is nothing more than an average reserve grader with a half decent kicking game. I'm not nessecarily saying he is a bad player as he showed many positives against the Gronks (broncos) earlier in the season. To tell you the truth I think everyone just jizzed there selfves as he forced multiple goal line dropouts.

Futhormore, the team still needs to go through a huge rebuilding process. Hopoate is to slow, Morris brothers have nothing more to offer, Tolman is a huge momentum killer and the list goes on and on and on.

Here is a team that IMO could work at suncorp:

1. Brett Morris
2. Josh Morris
3. Richie Kenner
4. Will Hopoate
5. Marcelo Montoya
6. Josh Reynolds
7. Matt Frawley
8. Aiden tolman
9. Mosss Mbye
10. David klemmer
11. Adam Elliot
12. RFM
13. Josh Jackson

14. Sam kasiano
15. Danny fualolo
16. Francis tulou
17. Josh cleeland

You can throw in whoever you want into whatever position your heart desires.

The fact is this core group is dead.

Hasler has mentally drained and killed off this current squad.

There are too many players who have been under the Hasler regime for too long. He has not changed his ways and the majority of the comp has jumped the Bulldogs by a fair distance.

People are delusional if they think we can change our style overnight. It is impossible to change overnight or in one offseason, especially hearing the same voice. It has been years of the same shitty structures and boring game plans. Players are mentally drained and fatigued hearing the same voice.

Even if Hasbeen decides to change things up, its too little too late, the damage has been done.

You want Hasler to stay, you need a whole new squad from 1 to 17, who have not been coached by Hasler.

Hasler to piss off, and there is a new lease of life under another coach who can identify all of our players strengths and weaknesses, implement a new and effective game plan along with a training program to get the players phys ically and mentally match fit. All in all, a new voice who will not bore the paint off the walls.

Mate, can I have some of what you are on?

If you think we were good then you have some seriously shitty standards.

Suncorp is going to be a slaughterfest. The jet is going to tear us a new one.

I agree we were shit in an ugly, very ugly win. Keep in mind some Brisbane players play three games in eight days with a five day turnaround when playing us. So on the basis of smoking a few joints with the thread op. whoatethepay I'd say we have a slight chance. Care to join us facebreaker?

If Dessies boyz can score two tries in the final five minutes then we are in with a chance as long as we stay in reach.
This is a massive hurdle, if we overcome the Broncs up there it will be a massive boost in confidence for the rest of the year, this will be a mini GF for us.

At this point in time it's just shifting deck chairs on the titanic. What's the point. We've got an outdated, arrogant and stubborn asshole coaching all the spontaneity and natural ad lib ability out of our whole squad and and egotistical, clueless moron leading our board who rewards him for 1/2 a decade of mediocrity by throwing more of our hard earned cash at him.

I've never felt as deflated about the future and our club and the problem is a huge chunk of the fans, the whole board, coaching staff and players seem to believe there's no problem. It's like they've been brainwashed and joined some clumsy, clunky boring cult

Judging by the embarrassing celebrations of players and fans when we accidently beat the worst team in the comp you'd think we won the gf yesterday

More chance of a flea raping an elephant than us winning up there this year

In the context of us blowing a couple of early tries, every side lifts against the Dogs and Nathan Brown got his ass kicked in the Newcastle media all week we showed great character to pull a rabbit out of our asses.

This is exactly the perfect platform for a good coach to take advantage of a team with several players in the opposition playing with fatigue.
Second phase play, quick play the balls, turning them around with early kicks forcing them work out of their 20m is how to play them...

The only way we will win is if Jordan Kahu wears a Bulldogs jersey underneath his Broncos jersey

We were inept, lost, clunky and uLtimately lucky that Newcastle are worse than us

I reckon we have the same problem as Newcastle, both teams are competitive, but lack the winning habit to finish teams off.
We did learn a valuable lesson on Sunday.

Every side used to lift against the Dogs, because we were the benchmark. Teams could measure their forward pack against us as well as their defence because if you could keep up with us and hold us out, you were in a good spot.

Now we're just being treated with contempt. Any half decent team doesn't need to get out of 3rd gear to wear us down and then once we're tired, they strike...and they're not worrying about defending against us either. It'd be funny if it wasn't all so sad.
