So based on yesterday's game, it's very clear that the whole teams structure has been altered in a negative manner.

If Inu was playing, he would have been slandered from every possible angle !

Wehether people want to accept it or not... Our main issue is fullback. We have Morris, Lafai, Stanley, perret and Inu who should effectively cover our 2-5 as our first grade players.

However we are missing a fullback who has the ability to both support arguably the best forward pack in the game. Yesterday, kasiano offloaded the ball various times while the defence was condensed, the cowboys had their 4 biggest forwards trying to tackle kasiano, if that was Barba (2012 or not) that would have been a line break on literally all occasions.

As much as we all love Perret, wehether we win or loose, it's not a viable option and we need a superstar fullback to complete the correlation of the team!

If inu played last night, they wouldve scored 3 more trys down the left side.
Inu and brown on the same side ?? Makes me shudder to think about it.

I just don't understand what's going on in the Fullback department.

I look at a player like Sam Tomkins for example. How the hell did we not sign this guy knowing he wanted to play in the NRL? The Bulldogs of all clubs should know what you get when you sign top tier English players.

The only thing I can think of is that we've had a big plan all along as this year was the sacrifice year.

True, and not only that, the warriors were able to sign him, whilst having ( his name escapes me right now, he went to England miss season) when we were considering him.

Kevin Locke AND Glen Fisiiahi! Both first grade NRL Fullbacks that would have been better than nothing for us.

Cheers guys that's him, Locke,
Can't believe I couldn't think of his name,
But yeah, we were talking about him as a barba replacement at a time we needed a fullback, warriors wouldn't release him, but under everyone's noses signed Tompkins then off loaded Locke mid season,
How we didn't get either is a mystery to me, even if we could have snared Locke for this season, considering we have Ben barba cap money doing nothing, what harm would it have been to have him.

So we've got a situation where the Broncos could very well be in a situation where they have 4 Fullbacks in the side:

- Darius Boyd
- Anthony Milford
- Ben Barba
- Josh Hoffman

Even Ben Barba's circus act from last year seems better than what we've got at the moment. Sadly we're in a position where any of the above would be an upgrade.

I'm hearing however most likely option is that Boyd will go to the Raiders while Barba is every chance at being at the Titans next year.

Does anyone think having Williams at 5/8 leads to poor defensive reads which puts pressure on our left side? I know hodko has been playing there all season till Reynolds got suspended. Everyone knows one hodko strengths is his defence.

Broncs and titans both over the cap?

How we can't snare a fullback whilst broncs have possibly 4 first choice fullbacks at most clubs next year is beyond me

I'm pretty sure Williams' defensive position hasn't actually changed. I think he was always one in from left centre. I could be wrong though.

I definitely agree though that Hodkinson changing sides has definitely contributed to our poor defense on the left side. As well as Morris not being there of course.

Agree that there's players we should have signed but Tomkins at $750 plus transfer fees wasn't feasible. He wasn't tested in NRL plus it would have turned into a bidding war with the warriors.

The odd thing is.. every time we miss on a classy player, we all jump on the wagon and say.... WELL we must be chasing this superstar or that superstar.

It dosent seem like we're getting any superstar.

Well it turns out it was feasible after all. lol

You'd have to say Tomkins would have been a more safe prospect on and off the field than Beale.

I hope I don't get slaughtered for this..

I have heard from someone I know who is very close to a senior player within our group, that the bulldogs are heavily chasing Hayne for 2016.

This could be valid on the basis we have been missing specialist fullbacks for a while now ?

I have worries about Beale and his off field issues but I don't agree that Tomkins is a +$1 million dollar player (in his first year at least). it's easy to say he is worth that money but what effect it has on the remainder of the cap and players is another question.
