I think it was Issy Folau that said about a third of the money is given to the Mormons anyway

He'll go the way of Albert Hopoate. Another "next big thing" languishing in NSW cup when he gets back from his mission.

Ah well, we must have money in reserve if we were fair dinkum in getting him.

In two years won't need him. Lafai will be a champion centre by then!!

I dont get the decision but meh its up to him, the last guy to this was jordan Rapana (who played for the Titans) and was pretty good but he hasnt been seen since, not going to be easy to come back after 2 years

NRL Stats needs a section on players to have done the mission, their stats before and after etc

I don't think anyone has done the mission and than came bak to cement a first grade spot.

I'm disappointed tbh.

Would of looked good in the blue and white!

*facepalm*

some people just don't know their own talent.

BUT to his credit he's not pissing it away like Todd Carney does.

NRLNEWS NRL News
RR: 2GB has just announced that William Hopoate is likely to remain with the Manly Sea Eagles for another 4 seasons.

Looks like we wont have to worry about Hoppa anymore.
LOL @ 2GB

Like seriously guys, all putting him down because he is going on a Mormon Mission? It's the same as any Muslim making the pilgrimage to Mecca, or any Christian/ Jew going to Jerusalem, show some f*cking respect you retards.
