yeh probably, but the truth hurts sometimes.
but honestly, anyone with half a football brain would not ever consider it.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. His just sharing what he would do.

But I don't like his lack of spelling. Innis lol. it's Ennis.

My Team considering Hickey in injured:

1. Luke Patten
2. Hazem El Masri
3. Jamal Idris
4. Josh Morris
5. Matt Utai
6. Ben Roberts
7. Brett Kimmorley
8. Ben Hannant
9. Michael Ennis
10. Michael Hodgson
11. Lee Tee Maari
12. Andrew Ryan(c)
13. David Stagg

14. Chris Armit
15. Nick Kouparitsas
16. John Kite
17. Ben Barba

I say Ben on the bench because if Ennis,Roberts or Kimmorley were to get injured or have too come off for whatever reason( touch wood ) Barba could just slot into 6 with roberts to hooker or something like that. Having Sullivan on the bench would be a waste of time considering Ennis is an 80 minute player and he can't really slot in the halves or add a big amount of spark if that the team might require.

Swap Warburton and Te Maari and youve got it

i agree 100% on that side, but i am still worried about koups and Tee Maari, i would only prefer 1 in the 17 if you go of their form of last year
i am hoping another player can produce something, someone like Gordon or Dean Vicelich who both also cover outside back if needed.
but the team looks good on paper, only problem is that even though we bought well, we still lack quality depth.
we have to have Ennis on the field for most of our games for us to challenge this year

te maari drops off too many tackles and is pretty impotant in attack. and i know about impotency. id like to see warburton start with koups off the bench. koups offers something in attack and may have an impact off the bench and warburton is a tackling terminator and is the dogs answer to trev the axe gillmiester!

Ouch!!
That hurt
In my defence this was not the team that would be my first choice to start the season but no matter what Hazem will be picked till he gets the 6 points needed ,the club needs the good press and the points record so where is it best to play Hazem.
Was Wayne Bennett stupid when he selected Darren Lockyer at 5/8 from fullback ??.
Were not our halves both failures in 08.
As for Innis/ Ennis my spelling has always sucked.

If Barba can imprve his tacking he has a garanteed bench spot. He can come on for impact at halves (roberts can go hooker) or he can replace any injured , Fullback, Wing, 5.8 or Half back.

Gordon will get a go, But that's the team I would start with for round 1. Lee Tee Maari showed alot of promise towards the end of the season. I was very impressed with his aggression after SBW left. His try saving tackle and his big hit in the Parramatta game was excellent. Under the mistakes, there is potential and mongrel and if he learns too use it consistantly, I see a NZ jersey coming his way down the track.

Yeah I know. They're just my ideal teams to start the year
you had kite on the bench for premier league?
personally i think he is the bomb and would like to see him fg bench.
each to their own, just my thoughts.

I think he's a first-grader in 2010. Just needs to harden up a little (being a prop), and brush up on a few skills. A front-rower at his age can't just slot into FG. By mid-year he'll definitely be starting in NSW Cup. I just don't want him to be rushed in with the hardened pros.

1- Luke Patten
2- Hazem El Masri
3- Josh Morris
4- Jamal Idris
5- Matt Utai
6- Ban Roberts/ Ben Barba
7- Brett Kimmorley
8- Jarred Hickey
9- Michael Ennis

12- Andrew Ryan
13- David Stagg

14- Lee Te Maari
15- John Kite
16- Chris Armit
17- Micheal Hodgson

(possible reshuffle on B.Barba or B.Roberts positions, one maybe to bench)

_these players pushing for spots/ bench spots and back up_

18-Danny Williams (personally still see him as a fringe player at the moment, but needs a big year)
19-Brad Morrin (might have enough bite to grab a few FG games this year) lol
20-Brent Crisp (pushing for back position (wing) and stand by for Patten, hopefully Luke doesnt get injured) Crisp can certainly jump high!
21-Conrad (teklwkje xqw,j) whatever his surname is, though i still havnt seen him play, just waiting for a miracle, and he becoming a superstar cause i heard he was huge lol)
22-D. Harrison (this year will test him whether hes got it or not)
23-T. Winitana/ B.Goodwin (centre/wing reserves)
24- Y(Buddy) Gordon- think im pushing it now, former centre, can he make it as a backrower??? hes got a lil gut but i guess reserve grade will be his home but u never know....

RD 1 LINE UP AGAINST MANLY

1- Luke Patten
2- Hazem El Masri
3- Josh Morris
4- Jamal Idris
5- Matt Utai
6- Ban Roberts/Holdsworth
7- Brett Kimmorley
8- Ben Hannant
9- Michael Ennis
10- Micheal Hodgson
11- Lee Te Maari
12- Andrew Ryan
13- David Stagg

14- Nick Kouparitsas
15- John Kite
16- Chris Armit
17- ??? -

possible 17:

Charlie Leaeno - last few games last season i was impressed. he is a big boy he weighs-119kg at 190cm tall, if he runs the way morrin and kane cleal do, he would be unstoppable.

Yileen Gordon: depends how he performs in the trial.

roberts/holdsworth: if holdsworth get chosen for 6, i would have roberts on the bench but since ennis plays 80 mins where does roberts sub with.

morrin - hard working forward but needs to put on weight at least 8 kg

ben barba - cant see him in the top 17 just yet

fred briggs - cant see him on the bench

Well. I have 2 potential sides

The first 1 would be if Hazem is out of form and got the record or whatever plus say Winitana lost the weight he needed too plus improved defence
1. Luke Patten
2. Heka Nanai
3. Jamal Idris
4. Josh Morris
5. Tim Winitana
6. Ben Barba
7. Brett Kimmorley
8. Ben Hannant
9. Michael Ennis
10. Michael Hodgson
11. Lee Tee Maari
12. Andrew Ryan(c)
13. David Stagg

14. Chris Armit
15. Nick Kouparitsas
16. John Kite
17. Ben Roberts/ Yileen Gordon ( depending if you go for a 4 man power bench or 1 utility. )

The only reason I say there should be a spark player on the bench would be only if Ben Barba isn't ready for 80 minutes of NRL football and needs to ease his way into the game when it's a little broken up, Otherwise there is no reason too because David Stagg can fill in at hooker. Isn't the spark that Ennis is but gives us the option of an all forward bench.

But realistically I think round 1 the side will look like this

1. Luke Patten
2. Hazem El Masri( should be competing for fullback with Patten IMO. )
3. Jamal Idris
4. Josh Morris
5. Matt Utai
6. Ben Roberts/Holdsworth
7. Brett Kimmorley
8. Ben Hannant
9. Michael Ennis
10. Michael Hodgson
11. Lee Tee Maari
12. Andrew Ryan(c)
13. David Stagg

14. Armit
15. Kouparitsas
16. Kite
17. Sullivan

Not much differences between my side and what I think will be our side, But I say my side would have more affect, particularly in the backline.

put crocker in at No. 11, get rid of te maari to reserve grade and swap sullivan for gordon to cover an injury in the backs
