Morrin on stand-by for Sonny Bill

March 20, 2008 Bulldogs forward Brad Morrin has been placed on standby for the injured Sonny Bill Williams ahead of Friday night's NRL clash with South Sydney at ANZ Stadium.

Williams remains in doubt for the game with a calf strain after scans cleared the strike-forward of any knee damage.

The Kiwi international had not trained with the squad all week but is hopeful of playing against the Rabbitohs.

If Morrin does get called into the side it will be his first NRL game since his infamous biting incident on Parramatta's Timana Tahu last year for which he was suspended seven weeks.

Scary that Morrin is that high up the pecking order of our back up forwards!

Kouparitsas was missed last week...he is close to our most damaging & skillful forward.
Let's hope he is back next week.

Rest SBW regardless. Give him the week off.

Morrin deserves his chance by the sounds of things. If he does play I am confident he won't disappoint.

I'm really worried about the Bulldogs this year if we continue to call up duds like this. lol Morrin replacing SBW.

Just remember what Kane Cleal was like at Bunnies and Manly. A good off season or 2 and he turned himself around. Morrin has seemingly done the same so lets see how he goes before bagging him yet again.

Morrin is soft and hasn't really shown much potential.
