I think its more likely he was copping loads of flack from the hard working players in the team, and this is why he left.
To be fair, i really doubt he will be missed once the season kicks off. Im confident that RFM can take his place as the cult hero and the one who pops the incredible offloads.

Kasiano was nearly sacked by des 2 years ago after poor offseason attitude but was saved by the board. He was and still is the worst trainer ever to walk through the clubs doors.Smokes no less than a pack a day and eats like a horse (Unhealthy) if it wasn't for his wedding this season,he'd still be overweight (Pre season) On 1 occasion 2 years ago, kasiano fell asleep during a video session and des whacked the desk so hard that it scared the life out of kasiano. At that point des had enough of his lazy arse and wanted him out.So in short,Good riddance.
FMD.. thats very poor for an NRL 'proffessional'.. he was on big bucks to boot

In this situation looks like Des was right & board wrong

It was so good it lasted 12 months. A halfback could wear 56 on his back. A fullback 78. When you scored a try, you had to kick off.
FARCE.
Take your biased rorters glasses off for a minute. Super league was directly responsible for most of the innovation and all of the salary and conditions improvements for the game in a 12 month period that the ARL couldn't and wouldn't do in 90 years. There was nothing wrong with the Superleague concept or games for that matter. It only lasted 12 months because it and the NSWRL agreed to form the NRL to run the competition. So all of the governing bodies effectively folded not just superleague.

Nothing to do with bias. This wasn’t a discussion about the concept, but about their farcical premiership. If it was so good, why then was it punted after 12 months ? Why weren’t their rules brought used in 1998. Everyone remembers that classic 1997 ARL GF between Manly v Newcastle. An all time best. No one gives a shit about the super league decider ! Just accept it.

Which defending premiers from 97 ended up winning the comp in 98?

Hence STFU

feel free to re-write history to your hearts content but most of the rule changes post 1997 came from super league ideas not ARL ones. Did Manly and Newcastle play did they? Don't remember. Of course you would because the rorters played in that comp. Held no more interest for me than ESL.

For the second time, Superleague was no more punted than NSWRL and ARL was. In case it has slipped your mind the NRL was established as a peace offering by the ARL who then proceeded to give up control of the game to a News Ltd appointed board and CEO. Arko and Quayle went the way of the dodo as did a number of ARL and Superleague franchises but don't kid yourself Superleague won that war by a country mile. For the next 20 years news ltd and Fox have controlled footy and it is only starting next year that their power has even been remotely diluted.

FYI the top 4 clubs & the Grand Finalists were from Super League. It’s thanks to Super League that the expanded & is the professional product it is today- ACCEPT this fact!

Its funny how the knights were the team that technically killed the super league(even tried to make up for it with the hunter mariners) and now they're barely afloat.

That's the same game plan that we had for him. We just added the "repeat" bit to it and that was when the trouble started....
