Roosters beat all Comers to sign In-demand youngster

THE Roosters have won the race to the signature of the hottest schoolboy rugby talent in New Zealand.

His name is AJ Kepaoa, a centre from Sacred Heart College in Auckland, the same school responsible for producing the likes of Solomone Kata and Tongan Thor.

Clubs from both codes were chasing the youngster with the Warriors, Cowboys, Blues and Chiefs all making a play.

He’s signed with the Bondi boys until the end of 2020 but it’s not just the Roosters with an eye for talent.

Reserve judgement til he actually comes through. They had huge wraps on Piki Rogers too. So much so they were flying him over every weekend from NZ for SG Ball, he then ended up in our 20's and is now a benchie in reserve grade for the Bears.

Sure.. but the point is they are proactive and signing In demand kids & juniors apart from just signing established star or competent FG players like Tedesco, Ferguson, JWH, Keary, Gordon etc etc

Don't so much know about that. When Klemmer was a young pup the Roosters offered him an absolute motza to go there.

There is a salary cap for the U20's -$250,000 for the top 20 players who qualify for the Toyota Cup and do not sit in a club’s top 25 Salary Cap and all clubs have to satisfy the requirement.
