My Dad died today

[Kaz]

He was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2012

He was told he would last 2 years.

5 long years later he finally lost his battle with this hideous disease.

I don't know how he kept going.

It was awful watching him lose his motor skills etc.

My Mum & Sister were with him, but I couldn't handle watching him leave this earth.

He drew his final breath a 9.25 this morning.

He was 78 years old.

I hope he is finally at peace.

Love you Dad.

PS: I think if my Broncos won in 2015 he would have given up on his life.

That's why I was so devastated that they lost. (that sounds mean), but at least he would have gone earlier & he would have known the Broncos won another Grand Final.

Sorry to hear. Losing a parent is the hardest thing in the world.. Sounds like he was quite the soldier and even more of a father. May he finally rest in peace from his long and horrible battle. Sincere condolences mate. My thoughts are with you, your family and your Dad. Can't imagine what it would be like having to come to terms with your dad succumbing to such a devastating disease. Or for him to have to prepare for it so quickly and go through it. It sounds like he was a real fighter even in the face of an adversity that's really impossible to comprehend unless you actually go through it... maybe not even then.

Life sucks sometimes.

Sorry to hear Kaz. It's very sad seeing the ones we love suffer in any way when we can offer nothing but comfort to them. I hope that you can look back on the good times you and your family shared with him and take strength and joy from his memory. I felt the same brother when my father passed away in 2013 from cancer. It's terrible seeing them in so much pain. All the best to you and your family.
