Just curious as to why I've just had about 2000 posts deleted?

Might be related to a cleanup this evening on religious threads. Though I don't think if a thread is soft deleted, that the post count is impacted.

If it's a huge issue it can be manually changed.

Hope that explains things.

There's been a lot of threads that start off as normal topics but end up as religious threads.

Yep, this is most likely it.

@Chicharito if it's a big issue I can see if I can confirm that's the reason, as all threads deleted are only soft deleted so visible to mods still.

maybe they have stopped lounge posts from counting towards your overall count or something like that

hmm lounge posts still count

2,000 posts are not going to be deleted in the religious threads unless you went crazy posting in them, for example the rodzilla would have lost only about 40-50 posts

so either you havent actually lost them or some other explanation

It's probably the deletion of several religious threads last night, as quite a few were rather old and went back a few years (so had lots of posts in them).
