And that’s the thing a cooking off period is bound to Australian law. So it already happens. Nrl have gone from pretending it doesn’t exist to acknowledging it.

How about the NRL just open up a transfer system like ESL, if they are serious about having a fair competition. Make it for season ending injuries only though maybe.

Would help stop players jumping to union as well.

Heck even go a step further and make it that a club can request another clubs player, if they are not playing in NRL, and that club can't unreasonably refuse.

So like if we had an injury in forwards, and NAS was playing NSW Cup for Storm, Bulldogs could ask for NAS, and Storm couldn't unreasonably deny that request.

First idea is ok the second idea isn’t right League. We want people to have pride in the jersey and area.
