What a doozy. Their form has 'blindsided them' and apparantly they are 'probably lacking execution'

The Bulldogs’ fading top eight hopes received a double blow on Tuesday when it was announced Graham would miss the next month with a neck injury while Greg Eastwood (knee) was set for five to six weeks on the sidelines.

The equation is simple for Des Hasler’s side — win six of their last nine NRL games or miss the finals for the first time since 2011.

Graham said he still believed in his side’s top eight aspirations despite having won just once in the last six weeks.

“Anytime we’ve had some bad form it’s blindsided us cause you have your belief systems in place about where you think the team is going and the utmost confidence in your ability and your team’s ability,” Graham told Fox Sports’ NRL360.

“Sometimes it just doesn’t happen. When you’re in a form slump, it’s something that definitely blindsides you.”

Graham is set to miss key clashes against Parramatta this Thursday, Newcastle and Brisbane, meaning his side’s season could be effectively over by the time he returns.

He will undergo minor surgery to repair a neck and shoulder problem which has been bothering him for several weeks.

With the Bulldogs having scored the least points (208) and made the least linebreaks (3.2 per game), they’ve been forced to wear criticism of their playing style and commitment.

Graham defended their character and said they were simply being let down by their execution.

“This is the toughest sporting competition in the world, it’s the closest sporting competition in the world so that’s going to create some good teams that end up getting beaten,” Graham said.

“The biggest thing for the Canterbury Bulldogs is it definitely isn’t an effort problem. Obviously we’re disappointed with where we’re at but 100 per cent the effort is still there.

“We’re probably lacking a little bit on execution. That’s something that can be fixed. We can play a little bit smarter at times.”

I still wonder if this is just Grahams media speak, but behind closed doors the players are saying and thinking somthing totally different.

Team in complete denial. Not surprising when you consider the idiot coach is still running around blaming completion rates

He was rattled when asked if the playing roster were happy with the game plan. He went off on some tangent about Des vision and all players having to find middle ground

Yeah whatever

Please go to the Knights

lol lacking a bit of execution.

Our kicking game is a pure joke, it isn't anywhere near good enough. That isn't "lacking a bit of execution".
Our passing to a prop on the 4th for a hitup is a joke. That isn't "lacking a bit of execution".
Our final tackle plays are a joke. Everyone looks like their plane just landed in France when they were enroute to Los Angeles. That isn't "lacking a bit of execution".
Our dummy half can't pass, can't kick, can't get us meters. That isn't "lacking a bit of execution".
Our goal kicking is the worst in the NRL. That isn't "lacking a bit of execution".

We need a total bloody engine overhaul, not an effing minor service.

I really hope so, either that or supercoach has brainwashed them into full retard mode.

Most of us saw this coming before a ball had been kicked this season, yet we gave the madman a pay increase and a 2 year extension after a soft win against a badly depleted broncos side, the place has gone to shit and if the mouthpieces at the club actually believe the crap they dribble then I don't think we've hit rock bottom yet.

Mbye said the same thing after we got embarrassed by the Raiders at Belmore last year "We've got to fix a few things". We're fucked till 2020.

I don't even know why people take any notice of this kind of talk? What do you expect the team captain to say? We are playing crap, we have given up for the year, so don't waste ya money coming out fans. Seriously apart from the media response given above, what do people expect him to say?

Another one of Haslers puppets talking shit again, are these players for real. They need to stfu and prove their worthy to represent this once great club and ATM their aren't to many playing in this team that are worthy to wear the blue and white.
