Southampton are asking too much for Van Dijk. Klopp did the right thing by publicly apologising and withdrawing interest in the player.

It's now up to Van Dijk to ask for a release and if anyone is willing to pay Southampton overs in signing him.

The irony is, we could have had Van Dijk a couple of years ago at a quarter of the current asking price but Rodgers preferred to 20 million pounds for Lovren instead.

He's a gun and one of the reasons Leipzig qualified for the CL .
I guess I'm questioning why we are having to pay overs to sign players because other clubs have made an art form of inflating the player markets by paying overs for them . Keita cost Leipzig 12.5 million last season.
Keita is Klopp's number 1 target from all reports.

Dunno if we will even pick up a striker tbh. But yes, a decent center back is a must..and a specialist left back.

Origi wont start many games. He's behind Firmino and Sturridge. Also Mane can play striker if need be with Salah on the right wing. Danny Ings back also.

I just can't see us brining in a striker. Klopp loves Firmino and he is happy enough to start him most games. Sturridge might not even leave, then we got Ings, Origi and Solanke? Unless we sell Sturridge i think it's extremely unlikely that we will sign one.
