5 rounds, if he doesn't improve or get involved I'd drop him as I don't see him being fit to be anything else in the main team. The flat earther can do his 5th tackle ineffective bombs there

I can’t even find a spot for him at centre. He would be out of my team.
Tbh same with me if i considered the form of all options in fg and nsw cup. Id have Skelton and Xerri in the backs before Burton. Burton stuffed up going for 5/8. He isnt a 5/8's asshole. Its so long ago he was a great centre, people dont even trust hes a good centre any more either until they see it. Id have him in NSW Cup as a centre to see how he goes. Earn his way back up. But i guess we will be left just hoping that since Ciraldo will persist with him, he pulls his bloody finger out and starts performing. He has not been good at all at our club

lol I guess making him FB will make him run the football :tonguewink: I think everyone is aware that he needs to go back to centre but our issue is going to be who we replace him with at 5/8th because whoever that is, is going to be in that position for the season because we can’t keep changing halves combinations all season. And the next combination has the potential to put us in a way worse position than we are in now. Be careful what you wish for.. he’s not a 5/8th in my opinion but he’s still the best 5/8th at this club at the moment.

Hutch/Sexton. We aren't defending our way to win so I at least want to see us play some football and use our edges.

That combo will create more points for sure but it will bleed more especially as the season goes on and we don’t have the forward pack to cover a half that can’t tackle. I know you’ll see it differently and I get that, but if he shifts Sexton to 5/8th and we get the spoon it sets us back a long way.

You’ll be laughing on the other side of your face when they activate your microchip mate..
All the pitchforks out for Ciro, Gus, various office holders and players have all been wrong. It was Bill Gates causing the woes at Belmore all along :-).

Maybe...or maybe not. Burtons defence at times last season was non existent too. I'm just really over what's happening with our NRL side, we're just a negative, boring and shit side to watch.

Some key points here:

- Burton is the best 6 we have right now.
- Chopping/changing can do more harm than good.
- The above could potentially make things WORSE.
- We’re all frustrated. We all want to win. But I simply don’t believe those at the helm have NFI, doubly so when I read some of the suggestions on TK :-).

I think the first move is Critta or Tracey to FB and getting some sort of a roll on. Then think about Burton...

Kid is too good to play center and unlocking his best footy as a 5/8 should probably be a priority going forward if we are serious about building.

Same ere.. Its obvious whats happening. We are building around structures and systems but dont have the cattle for them atm.

Question is do you persist with a system that will come to fruition or just play footy?

I think that was answered with Harry in the hot seat: we did the latter and played a more upbeat style of footy post Baz but we still hardly set the world on fire. Think we have to persist with the former and breed the cattle.

I think he has to stick with what he’s doing and implement the systems that we are going to want our juniors that are coming through to play in, It’s about the long game for mine not the short term success of winning a few extra games this year we aren’t making the eight anyway.

I agree. Hopefully a decent prop comes along to help out. There isn't much Burton can do when we are getting hammered up the middle. We get locked in our own half and cannot get out. They get all the momentum and field position.

Who says the system WILL work though? Ciraldo is an inexperienced coach and we're essentially relying on kids who may or may not make it to carry us into the future. If the Bulldogs were a European football club there would be mass protests by now lol.

Basically he’s sick of Burto not talking, sitting on his edge and being happy to just put up a bomb at the end of every set.
He’s our marquee player and he’s seemingly happy to be quiet and uninvolved.
He also talks about exploring other positions he could play to get the most out of him…
that just shows this guy level of intelligence then, he is not a fullback, you need to be more vocal at fullback than 6.
If he is moving, which they wont, it would be to centre with Tracey to 6 possibly

I think its a no brainer to have the club locked into a system and style of play that guarantee's victories.

I personally think we aren't far off.. The defense and those 2 tries showed they can play the systems and look good doing it. HOLDING onto to the ball is crucial moving forward for a start.

Also keen to see how we go once you have Knight/Tetz/Patolo/Sutton/SF healthy with King/Hughes/Poasa. There is some decent weight there to play with and surely something that will help the backline.
