He has heart and always gives a 100%. But he has poor lateral movement in defence, a poor passing game, an aimless kicking game etc. If you compare him with the skill set of Burton, a second year rookie in the same position....there is no comparison and halves players require more then heart.

Which of our players have ben stand out legends in the past four years? Lewis has suffered like the rest, from lack of real training. He has some natural talent but needs a mentor to make him see his potential.

He can do that elsewhere he won’t be missed. Not a half. If he wants to be a back rower then maybe but he won’t.

All this time we had Lewis the superstar that we could've enticed Bellamy with to get Brandon Smith.

But why would we need Brandon Smith when Lewis can play in the halves, centre, hooker, lock and second row.

Bellamy all other 14 coaches are missing out on a superstar by delaying trying to sign him up.

I would rather we sign Benji on the league minimum with the view he transitions to our coaching ranks. He’d still be better than Wakeham/Lewis etc and would be able to mentor our halves.
Not sure if Benji actually wants to coach but his insights would be invaluable to our team

MS 9 tries in 16 games = 56.25 strike rate
