And that's what I was worried about if he came to the Dogs. I thought we needed an experienced coach & this may have been a bit of a stretch for Trent.
I didn't initially like the signing of Barrett because I remember what a sh*t show it became at the Sea Eagles when he was there and I thought it petty and lame of him to claim some credit for their good form after his departure
but he seemed to get a lot right when he started with us and in particular, recruitment... we needed players in the spine and he got Flanagan this year and Burton for 2022... Cotric, Allen, Addo-Carr etc.
and so, I gave him the benefit of the doubt
there are still plenty of issues with the squad from Hasler and Pay eras but Barrett cannot say he has not had a significant input in the squad that has been assembled for 2021 and it cannot even compete
and for a lot in blue and white, coach included, their careers are on the line now
