A lot of great releases lately especially for my tastes.

Wage War, Currents and Novelists have put out AOTY contenders.

Get The Shot dropped a fucking monster.

Rough idea of top 10 in no particular order for me atm would be

Loser - I'm Not The Same
Wage War - Deadweight
Currents - The Place I Feel Safest
Fit For An Autopsy - The Great Collapse
Novelists - Noir
Ocean Grove - The Rhapsody Tapes
VCTMS - Vol. II Inside The Mind
Make Them Suffer - Worlds Apart
Dying Fetus - Wrong One To Fuck With
Municipal Waste - Slime And Punishment
The Acacia Strain - Gravebloom
Oceans Ate Alaska - Hikari
Northlane - Mesmer
Loathe - The Cold Sun
Gideon - Cold
Alpha Wolf - Mono
Get The Shot - Infinite Punishment
Boris The Blade - Warpath
Volumes - Animals

New releases to come from Kublai Khan, Thy Art Is Murder, Varials, Comeback Kid, August Burns Red, Stick To Your Guns, Counterparts, Cane Hill, Justice For The Damned, 36 Crazyfists, The Plot In You and Stray From The Path.

Such a good year in heavy music.

Danny Filth is one strange strange guy... if you've ever seen him interviewed he's not some goat murdering satanist, but rather quite a massive horror geek and suprisingly normal (outside of Devilment and CoF).

Some of you guys will probably like this:

If these give you a raging boner... I won't think it's wierd.

This one below is musically bloody good, and Periphery vocalist is awesome, but just can't get into the verse vocals.... I feel though with the vocals on point these guys could be incredibly good!

Yep. I shared that Dyscarnate one in this thread about a week ago. It's hard as nails. The new Sikth is pretty interesting and different.

Not a fan at all of the new Sikth. The EP was sick but new one is not for me.

Yeah I considered it, but think I'll pass. I would have gone to see StoneSour at Horden if:
a) It wasn't like $100 a ticket.
b) I wasn't going to be away again at the time.

Last time I saw them they were brilliant live.

Dead Cross released their debut album recently

The band consists of Mike Crain, Justin Pearson, Dave Lombardo and Mike Parton. It's short an sweet. Bit thrashy, bit hardcore, bit of Patton's screamo stuff

Bumping this because I bought it last night and it fucking rips.

Been giving it a decent listen myself. It's pretty bloody good. Patton found his new home with the screaming punk. Last time I saw Faith no more live he was basically doing that. Doesn't work for faith no more but sounds brilliant with the right music.
